Hi Everyone,

This is my first time posting but I've been lurking for quite awhile. Before I get into my question I'd just like to thank everyone for great discussions and advice - it has really helped me in this journey. I also had a baby girl 2 years ago with 4a/4b hair and if you weren't for you guys Lord only knows what HER hair would look like cause its very different than mine so on her behalf - thank you as well LOL.

I've recently decided to go natural after years of heat damage, coloring and texturizing. I have 3b/3c hair that has low porosity and I THINK is protein senstive. I've tried coconut oil over the years several ways and it always makes my hair crunchy, hard, strawlike and just weird. On my quest to find the perfect oil I've learned that my hair LOVES JBCO - which I oil my scalp with and also use with the LOC method. I sometimes mix it with jojoba, avacado and peppermint oil but also like it on its own (sorry for being long winded - I'll get to my question now ). I'm feeling like maybe I should add a ceramide and have brought a bottle of wheat germ oil but from what I have read it sounds a bit like a protein which i'm deathly afraid of. Am a wrong in thinking that? Does everyone need one and for those of you who use them, can you please tell me how you incorporate them into your regimine and what they have done for you? Thank guys!
