Good, good friend. I've known her for about 25 years since I was a child. She's about 3 years younger than me.

A heat protectant NOT to try is Soft Sheen Megahertz Heat Styling Mist, the second ingredient is alohol denat which is extremely drying on the hair. Don't let the pretty packaging fool you!

What kind of damage did you notice? She says that she thinkd her hair is healthier by doing it this way. And I've seen her hair. She does all the right things - moisture, conditioning, hot oil treatments. Her hair is gorgeous. I've never seen it look any other way. She inspired me with what she could do with her hair in terms of styling, etc. I just don't know. Some say no; some say yes. I may try it. It's only hair.

More breakage, more split ends, and more dryness in hair overall. But this is my hair, so some people may not experience this. But if you want to try flat ironing your hair while wet, it's cool. But just be careful.

If it's done on damp hair it will probably end up looking silky and shiny but what about heat damage ? I have read that direct heat can actually "boil"

hair if the setting is too high and that the sizzling sound is actually like "cooking" hair strands, and this was referring to direct heat on dry hair. Maybe you could start out by using the lowest setting on a small section of damp hair just to see how it turns out, but I would proceed with extreme caution.
