I'm a flat iron junkie too. I flat iron weekly, after a DC. I always use a leave in and Chi Silk Infusion for my hair. I will often air dry or ponytail rollerset (just to allow the cuticles to be flat to dry) and then flat iron on a LOW heat setting. I have a really good iron by Tyche which is ceramic and tourmaline and is AMAZING, I set it to the next to lowest heat setting which is 284 degrees or the lowest @ 248 degrees. My hair thrives, been doing this for a while now. It's all in products and technique.
