does anyone notice more growth in the warmer weather months?

My scalp has started itching more that the weather has gotten warmer. Is this due to growth? Also what products do you recommend for a dry scalp. I'm not worried about it being to heavy cause my protective style is cornrows and a wig. Thinking of getting braids but I'm undecided any suggestions?

I noticed this too....especially with the heat and humidity than the cold dry a/c. I have tried washing more frequently and lightening up on the type of moisture I use. (i.e. switch from creams to light oils) Other than that I am stumped myself.
I am not sure its about growth though...it may just be the pores have more to work with since there is more reason for it to sweat, etc.

Ladies correct me if I am wrong....

My scalp has been itching lately too, but it isn't dry. I do notice more growth in the warm weather, and my scalp itching usually means growth for me... hopefully! :)

My hair always grows more when its warmer, right now Im 8 weeks post relaxer and have new growth like 12-14 weeks. Ill probably be relaxing sooner just because its getting harder to deal with.

My hair grows almost twice as fast in the summer. I have to relax more often too. I think most people's hair grows faster in warm/hot weather.

My slow behind growing hair grows faster in the summer as well...I have so been waiting for the growth season so I can get some kind of doggone spurt.

It's warm as heck in NYC...I'm only approaching 7 weeks post touch up and it friggin feels like I'm at 11/12 weeks...

If everybody keeps their hair moisturized...hair should be thriving until summer's end.

My hair grows faster in the summer also. I think its do to more blood circulation when you're in the heat. When I get very hot my scalp starts to tingle. It also does this when I workout also.

Ditto. My hair is growing a lot faster in the summer. That's the one good thing about this Texas heat, my hair is growing.

My hair grows a lot faster in the hot summer months also and my hair also tends to get lighter (about 2 shades). I wash my hair once a week and leave it alone for 4-5 days with no products at all (except a little oil on my ends) and my hair is growing by leaps and bounds. Also drinking more water, taking my multivitamins faithfully, exercising and eating a lot of fruits and vegtables is also contributing to all this extra growth.
