Yes ESPEACIALLY the one (s) that claim they know how to style hair, but only jacked it up.

Yes! I went to this really nice spa/salon and this asian or white lady (I can't remember) said she had done many african ladies hair before, why did I believe her?:wallbash: By the time she was done I was embarrassed to leave the building, it was a mess.

At the beggening of taking care of my hair i kept reading about sew-ins as protective styles. I was in highschool...was going to wear this to a homecomming dance...thought i was going to be fly. Went to the first salon i saw, picked the cheapest hair....And got up looking like i had a silky mop on my head?
$200 down the drain.
Went to the bathroom, put a bandanna i had in my pocket on, walked out the door without making eye contact with anyone hoping i saw no-one outside...and took the crap out ASAP.

yes, ME!!!! I had to BC because I just needed to lighten my hair and I didn't know what I doing. I can press it, curl it, perm it, wash it, oil it, roll it, but I can not color it.

too many times . Would have been better off.

getting a touch up while having tracks in
nail glue and micro braids
marcel iron burnage
uneccissarily short bangs

Ok, your story had me :lachen: :lachen: :lachen:

To answer MissJ's question, um YES. Back when I had a relaxer and my nape area was short, I decided to get a weave track in the back. I was living in a new city and had been referred to this particular salon.

Well, the stylist put the track in but it didn't match the density of my hair. I look like I had 12 long strands coming from underneath my hair & it took her forever to put that track in. :perplexed

I left, got in my car pulled my hair in a ponytail/bun. The next day I bought some hair on my own and sewed it in myself.

Shole do! After I had my third child, I was shedding like a dog! I went to my stylist and asked if she could weave me up so my hair could rest. That was THE worst mistake ever, my hair has NEVER been the same. I wish she would have said, no the shedding will stop on its own, the weave will be to much traction on your scalp. I don't blame her, though, I just wish I was mored educated at the time!

YES! I wish my mom had refused to relax my hair...
lol, basically.

the salon that put in two of my weaves and let me think it didnt need to be washed...this is the same place that recommended i get the dark and lovely color and bring it to them cause it was "easier".

:perplexed

unfortunately yes

It's came up in a conversation I was having with a new hairdresser not to long ago, and she was like :perplexed :ohwell: and then the other women in the shop were like heck no, what was wrong with you??!!

I honestly didn't know and the hairdresser said it would be fine and of course it wasn't, my hair was FUBAR after that...lucky I wasn't bald. But that's when I found hairboards before I could cause anymore destruction!

Absotively - I went to a stylist who advertiesd herself as being committed to "healty hair" - ummm, not so much. Nevuh again!
