My hair is like a lawn. Water regularly and fertilize as needed.:lachen:

Seriously, I wet it 4-5 times a week in the shower. If I don't drench it in the shower then I spray it down with my moisturizer spray which consists of orange blossom water(distilled water with a little natural fragrance), glycerin, aloe vera gel, silk amino acid and hydrolyzed wheat protein. All in all, my hair loves moisture. But everyone's head is different...

My hair loves water!!! I do not cowash daily becasue my hair cannot take it, but I do spritz my hair with water everyday.

my hair doesnt really like co-washes/quicky conditionings
they dont really do anything for me, honestly.

but i deep condition 2ish times a week
and i also tried an avocado butter rinse this week
where i soaked my hair in water then added some avocado butter
let it seep for a little bit and then rinsed.

my hair really likes avocado butter.
i'm so glad.

Thanks for this post... I get tired of cowashing in the morning so today i watered and then used my spray... the curls still pop and my hair doesnt feel weird...

It's funny that I remembered one day while contemplating why my hair isn't thriving as much now as it was back in my college days, despite my not conditioning, no protective styles, etc. Back then, I would thoroughly wet my hair in the shower almost every morning because I did the "wash 'n' go" look A LOT. I stopped doing that after college because I had to get up and go (to work!) so early and there was no time for my hair to dry, and I became more concerned about frizz.

I just remembered that I used to do that too. And now it's taken me 1.5 years to get my hair to the length where it used to be 8-9 months after a big chop. :perplexed So I'm definitely going to start soaking my hair more often again! The water in the spray bottle doesn't seem to make any difference. :ohwell: I don't think I can do it daily since I am trying to protective style and I still have to get up at the crack of dawn and go out into the freezing cold, but I think it helps. :yep:

My hair absolutely adores water - it'd be dull and lifeless without. I have these around my house and in my bags always to give my hair it's water fix periodically during the day:
