Do you think you'll ever stop being a product junkie?

I really do like to think that one day I'll stop being such a huge PJ. But perhaps that's just my sickness talking. :drunk:

I feel like the reason I buy so many products is because I'm newly natural, and I'm trying to find what works best for my hair.

I think once I find my HG I won't buy so many hair products. At least that's what I like to tell myself!

What about you all? Do you think there will come a day when you aren't a PJ?

I think that day will come:pray:...I will still try out new products though, just not all at the same time like now:look:.

Yep, I'm definitely slowing down. As a natural, I think this is just part of the process...trying to find what works in YOUR hair. :yep:

I'm comfortable with the products that I've found...and I'm currently considering them as "staples." There are more things that I'd like to try but they're not too high on my priority list.

Incidentally, I bought some KCCC recently and hated it. Left a white residue on my hair...will try it again later. :ohwell:

I hope, I'm still trying to find a good shampoo and conditioner, and leave in, but I was looking at all my products earlier today and I was like the heck, I have so many things, so I don't know, I want to be simple, I just tried Design Essentials, which is aight, but I'm going to try Kenra and see if I like that......

Nope... I just like buying things, whether its hair products, skin products, and most importantly CLOTHES!!! Lol, I just like trying new things, seeing the effect, and if I like it or not, I'm not necessarily looking for staples and although I have them I enjoy buying new products regardless.

Yes, i get a little itch ever now and then but for now i have it under control. This economy has really been a big factor in me slowing down on being a junkie. I was always looking for that perfect product, but i have never used anything long enough to see what is beneficial for me. And also there is no perfect product for me, i had to learn this the hard way.

Unless you are buying yourself poor, I don't think being a PJ is a bad thing. You may have a good regimen but there may be a product that works so much better, lol. Plus, if something doesn't work out well, it's easy to give to people who haven't discovered LHCF as a way to get them off of bad products.

I like to say that I am not PJ because I am looking for my staples. Am I in denial?
But seriously, I am trying to find those products that are the best in their respective catagories. Until I do I will not stop buying and trying new stuff. I've found my staple shampoo, liquid leave-in, and moisturizing conditioner. Still looking for a staple DC, protein condish, daily serum type moisturizer, and creamy type moisturizer. So the search continues...

I think once I find my staple products I won't be such a PJ. I'm sure I will want to try new things, but by that point I hope I'm not going to have to buy as much as I do now... it's starting to get ridiculous:ohwell:

I thought I was done, a reformed PJ. THEN a coworker went out and bought me sample sizes of Aveda Damage Remedy poo and con. Well now I guess it's over now...:nono: I have to go to the Aveda store next week because that stuff is AMAZING on my hair. I would like to say that once I get the Aveda stuff that will be it but I'm sure someone will purchase something bigger and better for me and it will start again. But is there anything better than Aveda?

I stopped a little over two years ago after being one for a year and a half. I started getting overwhelmed at the number of products I had knowing I couldn't use them up. Too, it just ran its course...

I think I will stop one day. I just have to quit reading about great products and work with what I've got.

Nice Allandra nice

Now that's funny BostonMaria...

Having been here over 6 years I have seen and heard it all (well most of it). I have tried many things and honestly felt like I would be trying every new thing forever. I would quit then somebody posts something and next thing I know Visa is back out. "Hi, my name is Faith and I'm..." well you get my point..lol.

The thing is sometimes it's that one (or two) thing(s) you need to make your regimen complete. For me it was a great leave in and a great conditioner. I stumbled upon lacio lacio, Aveda IRT and ayurvedic powders and now my Visa can rest. I hope you get there sooner

I'm slowing down a bit, and honing in on products that I know work for me. So I'll be a controlled PJ...not a PJ with ADD/ADHD

I think I have finally stepped away from PJ status.

I have been burned by so many products, but have had such great results from so few.

I have so many products here in my house from my PJ days that I need to get rid of.

Getting products that work so well, just prevent me from over buying right now.

I don't really consider myself a PJ. :) I usually only re-buy what works well with my hair.

Sometimes I do cave in, and buy, whenever I see a product getting a lot of rave reviews and/or it's a good deal (price wise).

I hope so, I'm running out of space in my bathroom!

I tend to get. . .obsessions. Before being a hair product junkie, I went through a phase of being a nail polish junkie, a yarn junkie, a magazine junkie, a used dvd junkie, and an earring junkie.

On the upside, my addictive personality only goes for cheap to moderate products. God help me if I become a caviar and champagne junkie.

Yeap! Working on that right now. I found myself using the same things over and over, I have decided to stick with them. I have all of these conditioners that I really like, but just can't use everything. So I'm in the process of using up all of my really like stuff and will just stick to my favs. The only latest band wagon that I have jumped on and will continue using are the indian powders.
