cybra said:Hey ladies, I hope you are all blessed at the time you read this post. Let me start by saying I'm not "pastor" by any stretch of the imagination, but as most of you know I do love the Lord more than life. Anyway, to address the question at hand.
I want to say, it's not so much about what you wear as it is about how what you wear affects others. Said more directly, someone could put on something that's tight and mean no harm or have no underlying intent for wearing the outfit, however, what they wear can cause someone else to lust, which IS a sin. One rule of thumb I take whenever I dress, I ask myself, if I was going to visit God would I feel okay wearing what I have on. If the answer is, "Oooo, I wouldn't want him seeing this much of my boobs, " or, "I know these pants are showing more than they leave to the imagination so I wouldn't want God seeing me like this," then, won't wear it. It's one thing to put something on and honestly don't see it's potential to cause someone to sin. However, it's a whole nother ball game when you "upfront" know that what you are about to put on will be provocative, sensual, and more than likely cause men/women to lust after you. For such actions, God WILL HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE for all you cause to go astray. One scripture that offers support for what I have said is:
"For we are in danger to be called in question for this day's uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse"
Acts 19:40.
We are all aware of the rise of porn, soft porn, andt the various forms this has taken to entrap the creations of God (man). We, as children of God, are required to do all we can to control for this permeation of sin in this world, thus, we ARE NOT to add to what is going on sinfully in society. Yes, God has made use beautiful, some with very nice builds, but what he created for the good should not be used to increase that which is bad. I hope I am making sense to you. Personally, I may wear something nice for my husband, but that is in the privacy of my own home...my body is not my own nor is his. But God created physical attributes for my mate's enjoyment and visa versa.
I hope I didn't sound too preachy, but I love to be of help with I know brothers and sisters in the Lord who are seeking the truth. I pray you continue to seek the Lord wholeheartedly and that you continue to stand for righteousness sake.
Agape love to you all.

MissJ said:Another question, if it's someone's job to model clothes (not church dresses), how does that fit into our religion? If he or she is a Christian, do you find that inappropriate?
