Do you really like hair...

or do you REALLY LIKE hair? I ask this wondering if most of us just mostly like black hair with all of it's wonderful textures or do you like all hair types? I was waiting for the shuttle to come pick me up from the parking lot to take me to my job and I saw this woman with BEAUTIFUL red thick mbl hair. I mean it was radiant and thick. I wanted to touch it. Then just yesterday I was walking behind this Asian woman who had mbl as well and her hair was so black and straight. It was flawless. I wanted to touch hers too. I'm mostly always admiring our hair but lately I've been looking at all hair types starting at 1a instead of 3a. Just wondering...

Oh yeah, one thing I thought about is that these two ladies appeared to have very healthy hair. I say healthy because I've seen lots of caucasians and hispanics with some damaged color treated or permed hair and it looks just as bad as ours does when it's abused.

I enjoy seeing healthy hair in all ethnicities. The one that fascinates me the most is Hispanic and Asian. So thick and pretty.

I do like my hair whether relaxed or natural. I prefer relaxed, easier to deal w/ on a daily basis. When I've had it natural, it just took too much time and patience. Although it was much healthier/thicker. It had it good days but more BAD days as for styling. What I don't like is beady bee's I can't embrace that, not a good look for me.

I REALLY LIKE hair. All hair. If it's healthy and long, I'm - I really don't care what color the scalp is..... I do have an especial soft spot for curly hair, though, I've gotta admit. I'll danngone near break my neck getting a good second look at a long head of healthy curly hair!

I saw this caucasian women at the train station this AM and boy oh boy. She had very fine, curly hair that looked dry with undefined curls just like a rat's nest. I wanted to talk to her about moisturizing etc. But...well I left that alone.

I love this discussion. I appreciate all hair types that have long, healthy hair. Just because you are white or asian or mixed doesn't make hair care any easier. It's like a job that needs to be taken seriously.

Now, I think the job for 4ab types is a little more tedious by virtue of this hair type, but it's not insurmountable and routine becomes routine no matter what.

Wow, so many repsonses. I'm new to the hair game and never really noticed hair unless it was tore up. Now I admire and have appreciation for hair, especially when it's healthy. When I started the hair boards back in January, it made me take notice of black hair. Now my eyes are venturing on. I must say, I do appreciate long HEALTHY hair because I now know what it takes to have healthy hair like that. If it's long, that means that person is dedicated in my book. Short healthy hair is beautiful too but longer healthy hair shows the commitment and the patience a person has went through...in my eyes. Oh well, thanks for the responses.

I've always loved hair but since joining hair boards I look at hair through different eyes... before it would be woooooooooooooooooooooow she's lucky to have nice hair.. or I want her hair.. now it's I wonder what her regime is and hmmm I know what products would work for you...

I really like hair of all forms! But, what I like most is when women have healthy hair, and they wear there hair in a way that suits them. I don't believe in the one size fits all belief, because we all don't look alike. But, when I a woman rocks a hairstyle that reflects her, and becomes her, I just STARE in amazement!

I would have to say yes I love hair. I love looking at hair. I love looking at pics of hair. I keep a couple of hair mags. on my desk at work for non-busy times. I love looking at all hair but our types are still my favorite. My co-worker is nonblack and has gorgeous MBL hair and I stare her head down every time she walks by lol. I try to be discreet.

I have always loved hair, and I am not ashamed. At times, folks can make one look superficial for caring so much about something like hair, but this is what I indulge in.
I'm not into makeup, fashion, nails, or home decor like other women...hair is my fix. Forums like this one make me happy and help me to make good use of this interest of mine by sharing my ideas, advice, etc.
And when solicited, I give advice to my friends of every race. It is always well appreciated, and I let them know that hair guidance is what I'm here for.
Hair care has not only become a skill of mine, but an ever-growing passion, and I'm proud of that.

I LOVE hair. I always have. Even before I came here, I was hair obsessed. I am beauty obsessed. I think seeing someone with a beautiful head of hair just makes the package complete. I have always loved curly hair the most, though. Even when I was relaxed, I was always trying to give my straightened hair a curl pattern. I love seeing hair in different colors too- rich browns, glossy blacks, radiant reds, and blondes.
