Well the reason a person should let her hair cool off before rinsing is because you are using the heat source to open the hair cuticles so the conditioner can deeply penetrate the hair. So when you let the hair cool down, then the cuticles close, while still possessing all of the moisture and protein that your conditioner deposited. If you immediately rinse it, without cooling, then your cuticles are still open and you are rinsing out the conditioner from underneath your hair's cuticles. Sometimes i let it cool if i'm not lazy, but at the very least, i do take off my showercap and let it cool during the 2minute walk to the sink... But if i dont let it cool, then i am sure to use cool/cold water to rinse with...
