do you ladies detangle on wet, damp or dry hair?

Prepooed with evoo and cholesterol but my hair was so tangly today... It seemed like too much hair came out... I plan to by some detangling spray when get paid

I tried dry detangling today for the first time in years and it worked really well! I prepooed with coconut oil for a good hour and a half. First I lightly finger detangled, then layered in aloe vera and cheapie conditioner. Finger detangled and then a quick pass through with my denman brush. Silky, tangle-free hair.
