Do you clarify while you transition?

Anyone transitioning using a clarifier at all? Come in here and tell your story please!

Are there better things to use when transitioning to clarify than some others? I haven't had much breakage so far but I did see a couple of broken hairs that I'm sure was at the line of demarcation. I'm wondering if some clarifyers will actually increase that breakage.

TIA!!

I clarified 1x while transitioning and it was a very unpleasant experience (dry hair, knots, and tangles). But I was very new in my healthy hair journey and didn't understand how drying it could be. Hope others come in and help.

See, that's what I'm worried about....drying, knots and snapping. Thank you for sharing Keepithealthy.

Hopefully more people will chime in.

I am 14 months post and I've only clarified 1x at the 12 month mark. I chose not to clarify early in my transition because my natural hair wouldve tangled and shrunk down too much. Now my hair has enough weight and hangtime to survive the process. I'll probably clarify every 3 months or so now.

Thank you for saying this because this is what I was afraid of. I'm 6-7 months in and I don't want any set backs...:nono:
