Divorce Court-Angry Black Woman Syndrome

I've never really like the new divorce court judge, and preferred Judge Mabeline even though she was a bit ghetto. But I think I officially dislike the new judge as she just mentioned that one of the black woman on the show has angry sista syndrome and that many black women exhibit angry black women syndrome.

On national tv nonetheless. How degrading and sickening. I've always sort of thought she had an attitude towards the black women on the show and acts like they should be glad they were even married, but I assumed I was just being a bit judgmental towards her, but now I see she really does have issues with black women.

Was it really necessary to mention that?

Divorce Court Judge Lynn(I think that's her name) is American and Black. For the couple in the case, the soon to be ex-wife was American and Black and the soon to be ex-hubby was either white or hispanic and American.

That's really a shame. She ought to know better than to pigeon hole.

many blighted people exhibit angry syndrome, it really has nothing to do with color, that's just what the media wants us to think. Look at how many poor angry white men there are out there. They feel overlooked and voila they're angry. I don't even think it's true, most Black women I know are friendly, we just usually don't tolerate being pushed around very well. No one should. She really ought to know better.

There have been white and hispanic women that exhibited the same "angry" and frustrated behavior that the ex-wife was exhibiting, but she'd never dare to call them an angry white woman or angry hispanic woman.

It was wrong and disappointing and unfortunately many people are going to run with that and see it as their validation of racism against black women.

Believe me, people will run with anything that boosts their self-esteem.

She throws out a lot of stereotypes on that show.

Yeah, There was another interracial relationship case in which the husband was black, wife white. The husband was complaining that the wife keeps saying that black women are jealous or giving her dirty looks and Judge Lynn has the audacity to say what's wrong with that, us "sistas" can be sometimes territorial or jealous. Something along that time and I was like wtf? She needs to talk about herself and keep the rest of us out of it, I'm not her "sista" and most black women could careless.

This is what gets me. ALMOST EVERY GROUP feels some sort of way when they see their counterparts marrying/dating "out." You have white men that get angry when they see white women with black/latino/middle eastern men. You see white women get snarky when they see white date dating Asian women in droves. You have Asian men feeling salty when they see Asian women go after white men. You have black men that will say something smart when they see black women with non-black men. And Mestizo Latino men/women get racist when they see their counterparts dating "others." I've see ALL of this.

Why people always give this "jealous" label to black women is beyond me.

We should copy and paste these responses in an email addressed to her and the show's producers.

I disagree. I think doing so will cause them to INCREASE that behavior. Don't feed the trolls. They will ramp up the attacks on BW to get "buzz". That's why this foolishness is found everywhere... they love to see us all riled up and angry... so they can have even more "evidence" of how angry we are.

No, contacting the producers in a complaint that they are stereotyping. They take this very seriously and with even one complaint, they reconsider for that particular show. Believe me, I know. They have too much to lose with charges of deliberate prejudice.

I've watched old episodes and thought she was on the woman's side. Maybe the new episodes are different.

It's not really a matter of her being on the woman's side as much as it is, that she stereotypes black women and has a "you should be happy you are a married black woman" attitude/vibe.

If that be the case, I think Judge Lynn has "uppity negro" syndrome. If we're categorizing people here. #Ridamndiculous

I'm sorry I hated Maybeline's country arse! There I said it! :look: I think Lynn is more sensible and actually she doesn't throw around the stereo type they go online and ask for this sort of arbitration. In fact there was a couple from MTV True Life on There, A Tyler Perry Cast Mate, and a popular DJ. Since Lynn came on the show now they have main stream Americans....Maybeline had trailer parks and projects. All her spousal and child support orders were under $500.

Last week I saw a crazy Jewish couple where the wife was a hoarder. Money making Russians, Indians, Black Folk, sexy Seniors and everything.....So, no I'm not bent all outta shape because Lynn told her to quit chicken necking and being angry.

I saw the episode and the wife was a hot mess.

I don't see what everyone sees. I've seen her clown a little bit of everybody. Men, women, white, black, latino, old and young. She is an equal opportunity a** chewer.
