oooh i LURVES this brush! i bought a second one yesterday. it detangles my 4a hair so well, no ripping or tugging or excessive hair loss. it also distributes my conditioner easily, so i don't have any dry spots. i'll never give up this brush. nothing else detangle my hair so well. ♥

I hated mine.

I just took out the teeth last night (every other row) will try it tonight to see if this makes a difference with my hair.

For me, I lose a very consistant amount of hair weekly ( I have a pic in my fotki)

I detangle on hair loaded with conditioner and water and start detangling at the tip and work my way to the roots, if I find some resistance because of a tangle I gently brush through it starting at the bottom of the tangle and working through it. :yep:

Adding water to the section usually adds slip. My hair is at it's most pliable when wet so tangles are easiest to remove in this state.

I could go back to using a wide tooth comb as I think it's gentler but I could never figure out how to get out the shed hair which led to worse tangles and knots.

This is me too. :yep: I finger detangle before I use the Denman, and I work in sections. If I detangle once weekly, life is much easier. I use a Denman 81 (paddle brush). The D4/D3 didn't work for me once I hit APL stretched. I am natural.

Here's what confuses me, I didn't think naturals were supposed to brush wet hair?

It looks interesting, but on the other hand, I'm a product junkie.

For me it's good for styling and smoothing the hair for roller sets and twist/braid sets but not for detangling. It just rips my hair. I only use it after I've fully detangled.

Ooh good idea Pokahontas. I was wondering if it was worth the money purchasing on eof these. Your method just might work for me:yep:.

not with bristles, like a boar bristle or plastic. to be...this is barely any different than a comb because of the bristles, though they're hard, thick plastic.
