I used to do this when I was younger. But now I can't stand to have a dirty scalp so I must shampoo.

I do this sometimes too, just for variety. I can't really tell a difference. Well, I think 'slip' is better when the hair is wet.

I tried this for the first time just now. I'm telling you, I'm never gonna do it the other way ever again! I did not lose nearly as many hairs as I normally lose and my hair feels ridiculously soft. Plus it is a lot less effort. Thanks for bringing this up Caramela! :D

i tried this yesterday and i am happy to say that i did notice a dfference. after i shampoed i towel dried my hair. then i applied motion silk protein deep conditioner. let me tell u this conditioner never worked for me before. and i noticed that my hair was a lot softer. thanx for bringing this to our attention

This sounds great and I can't wait to give it a try since I have always felt that some parts or my hair aren't getting enough conditoner when i apply it wet (i.e. the middle of my hair) as I'm to scared to part it too much with the comb for fear of breaking my hair.

I have two questions about this:

1. Where does the hood dryer come into this? If I apply my conditioner to dry hair then put plastic cap on and sit under dryer is this okay? I would feel like I wasn't doing a proper deep condition if I don't use my dryer.

2. Is this your main condition or are you ladies just doing this as a pre-conditioner before your main deep condition??? :look:

I tried it and let it sit overnight, then I shampoo'd, used porosity control, conditioned under the dryer. While I rinsed, I noticed that there were no tangles anywhere and noticeably softer.

I ended up using my hooded dryer after I rinsed and shampoo'd and then applied a bit more conditioner. Came out great for me.

This is so true. I've noticed that when I do my cholesterol treatments, the benefits ae better when I apply it first (like a pre-poo). :yep: I don't use any kind of heat at all. I just cover with a plastic bag and I leave it on for 1 hour.

Off topic-Weavediva, your hair is BEAUTIFUL!! I really like that style.

I apply deep conditioner to dry hair as well. Cover with plastic cap, go under dryer for 20 minutes, then rinse, shampoo, and condition again.

I'm going to try this with a mixture of coconut milk, cholesterol, EVOO, VO5 Cucumber & Melon conditioner, and honey on my dry hair as a pre-no 'poo treatment. Then I'll COW with Porosity Control Conditioner, mixed with Elasta QP Intense after towel drying my hair. I'll keep you posted with the results ASAP.

I shampoo my hair, squeeze out the excess water with my hands, then squeeze out the rest with a towel.
Then I sit around and let my hair air dry, after that then I throw the deep-con into my hair, snap on a cap, and hit the sack!

I would rather do this on towel dried hair. And yes, its advisable to use microfiber towels. i got mine on ebay. 2 for 9.98. very cheap
I totally agree!!! I love my microfiber turban towel! :yay:

Here's my update: My hair felt so moisturized, and not so dry. I really like this method a lot better than having your hair wet first, then puting your conditioner in.

What I did is I made my pre-no 'poo deep conditioner, and apply it throughout my whole hair and ends. I put a plastic shopping bag over it and covered my head with my silk scarf and satin bonnet. I let it stay on my hair for 4 hours, rinsed the conditioner out in the shower, towel dried my hair with one of my microfiber cloths, did my COW, rinsed, did my ACV rinse, and applied my generic Herbal Essences conditoner as my leave-in, and did my rollerset. Also want to add: I applied my anti-frizz shine polish on my hair and ends so I can have frizz-free hair and ends.

Thanx for this great idea!

WHAT A GREAT METHOD!!!!!!

Cant wait to try it, this will save me so much time. I usually jump in the shower wash my hair, then put some con on go under my hooded dryer for 20min. Then get back into the shower rinse, then rollerset under the dryer for an hour,

So I now only have to get under the shower once!!!!! I can see me using me conditioner though----More money (Oh Well) My Nexuss gives me great slip and moisture already so I can wait to see the results.

I will post them

UK Ladies, Do you know where I can get one of those Micro towels from.

and theres my problem! i think i started doing this cuz i had no interest in getting back in the shower once i was done!

I Feel U
After you been under that bloody dryer, The last thing I wanna do is get back in the shower AGAIN!!!!. The shower does work wonders with detangling though.

yeah. i am going to have to jump on the band wagon... aubrey hampton founder of aubrey organics is a true believer in this....

I tried this method three times, once as a conditioner wash with my Aubrey GPB, once as a conditioner wash with the Aubrey Honeysuckle Rose, and once as part of my regular wash with my Eulence and Kendra. Each time I left it on overnight instead of 30min. This method worked like a dream. Super slip, super moisture, great shine, and no need for a seveal follow-up products. Thanks 1000X over for the tip.

ETA: When I used my Aubrey conditioners as regular conditioners or the traditional deep conditioner methods I didn't get 1/10th of the results I got using the dry hair method. It really makes a difference, at least with the Aubrey products.

Mhmmm, you think you sooooo funny!!!!!

Anyways, I tried this method and really liked it. I dry deep conditioned with Humecto and EVOO for about 2 hours (no heat), then I shampooed and conditioned again with Humectress. I was nervous at first b/c I had some tangles in my hair, but they came right out! My hair seems super-moisturized too. I think this method is a keeper, it also simplified my routine a good deal.

This is def a keeper for me. I stopped doing it for a while b/c I didn't see the point, well my hair did, it feels so much better when I pre-poo. I'm pre-pooing right now actually...just threw some mess on it, and will cw in the AM.
