I would just like to give out my appreciate to all you ladies on the board. You all have been so helpful to me in improving my hair and really are making me become empowered and not let stylist dictate what happens to my head.

With that said I there are those who stand out who bring something to the table that helps us all. i would like to give them titles and crowns for their accomplishments. there are so many ladies that have been helpful but these are at the top of my head.

This is just a tip of the iceberg. Anyone else have titles they want to give out to show their appreciation.

Everyone has been so helpful and I just wanted to give thanks to those who had tips and specific recommendations that have made a difference for me.

God bless you all.

TITLE: MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE IN NATURAL PRODUCTS, VITAMINS/SUPPLEMENTS AND HEALTH
CROWN: JADE21
You are a wealth a knowledge and is missed when you don't post your wisdom

TITLE: (provider of) TIP OF THE YEAR
CROWN: TO SWEETCOCOA, for turning us on to the hair-softening wonders of rinsing/misting with distilled water. It's easy, cheap, the product can be gotten almost anywhere, and it WORKS!

On behalf of several of my friends and relatives, I would like to thank Amilion for her step-by-step roller setting post. They laugh at me for being "hair crazy", but I know what's up.

I heard through the grapevine that my cousin has some avocado oil. In the bathroom... I know she's not cooking with it!
laugh.gif

Jerseygirl also had a good tip about countering the drying effects of heating and air conditioning with a humidifier. My hair and skin look great and I don't wake up with burning eyes and a scratchy throat anymore.

And Allandra for the "hood dryer on the ironing board while you surf the 'Net" tip.
grin.gif

Yes--I must admit ---I LOVED LOVED LOVED
love.gif
Allandra's tip about the ironing board and the hair dryer. I went out and bought an ironing board for my hair
blush.gif

What's even funnier is that my cousin who has beautiful hair and isn;t really interested in my hair info--LOVED this tip as well. She had stopped rollerseting her hair and was complaining about how hard it was to get the hood the right height.

Thanks so much Azul...ur a sweetie. And so cute!

I def. agree...well deserved titles.

I wish Amethyst was still on - she'd definitely be the Silica and Biotin Expert....

And tho it's not discussed much on the hair board, our Carrie is certainly the Fitness Guru...celebs have NOTHING on the info we get from our Carrie...

UmSumayyah thanks!
I have a few that I can remember..there are probably more...

Allandra - for Good Hair Day's Pins(I loves those things) and I believe in the old forum you gave the tip about storing the snap on tops inside the rollers to keep them fitting like new.

PeachTree for the Peachtree Twist!

Jade21 - the guru for natural products(pointed me towards Nature's Wild Child for shea butter) and vitamin info.

ValleyGirl - Pantene Pro-V Smooth and Sleek.

And to Pebbles...for keeping the Peace!

Thanks Sweetcocoa. Girl, I am still loving those plastic hair pins. I even went out and purchased two more packs (of the clear ones) BACK IN JUNE. I'm always scared I'm not going to find them one day.

I'm still storing my snap on tops inside of my magnetic rollers.
smile.gif

Allandra,

Snap on tops, could you explain more please? This sounds like what I need to get a perfect set...I can't get my roots straight for anything, and I'm talking the day I get a t-up
rofl.gif

We're referring to the magnetic rollers that come with the matching snap on top (vs. using the silver clips). I store mine inside of the roller because over time they do spread open. So this keeps them fitting nice and snug. HTH.
