Thank you ladies. It has been a long journey. Sometimes I felt like throwing in the towel, thinking to myself what the heck was I thinking. To all the ladies considering and currently transitioning; It is so worth it. I absolutely love being natural. When I was relaxed I felt like I didn't stand out. My hair feels so much better.

I noticed your new pics today too, and they are beautiful! I always loved your natural hair...even in the beginning when you weren't sure you liked it. It's come a long way and it's beautiful! Congratulations!!!

can i ask how much ic fantasia gel you use? i bought some this weekend to help with my shake and gos but couldn't figure out how much to use on wet hair.

I don't use a lot because it makes your hair feel cakey (for lack of a better word). I probably use less than a quarter amount and rub in through my hair. I like to use it keep the little hairs on my hairline in place.

I saw your picture on another post today and I had to take a double take because the only Country Gal I know is the one from my group in DC and that did not look like you at first. I started reading this thread and to my surprise that is my Country Gal looking good as EVER. You go GAL! :yay:

I do not know if I can continue to do the transition even though it has been since June 2005 for my last relaxer. I am tired of this spongy thick mess on my head!

It's me Prince. Kathy mailed me the goodies I got from the meeting. I get to finally sample some of your products.

Gorgeous, I was going to start a Shout-Out thread seeing your siggy, but I decided to do a search first because I knew I couldn't be the only one admiring your hair and lo and behold I found this thread.

You say you do dry twists, do you blow-dry your hair before you start to twist?

Thanks Mes, qtgirl, balisi for the kind words. Heat is evil. So I stay away from dryers. I let my hair air dry. My time has been real short lately. I just do my wash routine and let my hair air dry in afro puffs. I graudally start twisting when I have time like at my son's practices, work, on the bus.
