Ok, so I had a virgin relaxer about 2 weeks ago( went to the salon). My hair is 4b mostly very thick and corse. When she rinsed it out I was surprised, The ends didn't take at all. Like the curl pattern loosened a little bit, like from a 4B to a 3B if even, but no more than that. I think I know prob what caused it thinking back to the days before the relaxer.

1 - I didn't clarify or chelate at all
2 - Didint use any porotsity correcting products
3 - Used havy styling products (oils, butters, ect)

So now I know not to use these so close to a relaxer. A corrective is definately in order but how long should I wait to get it done? I'm itching to do it soon, but I'll wait if therese gonna be any adverse effects. Any advice?

No harm in waiting. It might even be better to wait because you can do some conditioning in the meantime to strengthen your hair. I would not go back to the same person because if she cant do a virgin relaxer properly, she probably wont be able to do a corrective properly either.

Please wait to do the corrective relaxer. Give yourself plenty of conditioning treatments to get your hair in tip-top shape. Even if this is your first relaxer, protein bonds in the hair have been broken. I would say give it 4-6 weeks.

In the meantime, see if there is a way that you can work with the texture. You might like it!

I suggest you wait until your next touch-up. The ends are the most fragile part of your hair since it has been on your head the longest. Try the better of the two evils(blow dry or flat iron) with heat protectant until you do relax again.
