So I am about 8 weeks post, I just rolled my hair last night and went in after to flat iron my roots. Well this morning my roots are puffy again.. Is there any kind of serum to prevent this? Is this what sabino moisture block helps with? If so I might need to find some. I know the Keracare silken seal only has two ingredients and so does the Ion oil free glosser http://www.sallybeauty.com/oil-free-glosser/SBS-302222,default,pd.html

TIA! This is probably my second or third time going past 8 weeks on a relaxer so i'm not really used to this.

Puffy roots might be a sign that your hair is dry and needs more moisture. At least that what my hair tells me.... Try deep conditioning more often.... especially after 8 weeks post. I notice that my hair puffs up less when its uber moisturized and soft (I achieve this by dcing on dry hair overnight) If I don't do this.... after 8 weeks post, I either need to slick my hair back into a protective style (puffy roots are gone) or work with my texture (i.e. braidouts, twist outs, etc).

I'm 10 weeks post and did a rollerset this week. I tend to like the puffiness. It gives a full appearance, versus a silky flat one. I don't even flat iron my roots, but I may have to at 15-20 weeks post! Now that's a different story!
