when i had a relaxer it was very harsh...it was bone strait but brittle and crazy feelin...didnt like it and i remember lots of burning

just by the name of it I wouldnt look at it...I dont like my hair bone straight I like it left with a little texture...

but i never heard of that line

I tried it once a long time ago...and never touched it again. I burned the hell out of me and left my hair so dry. I would rather use no-lye...than use I use it again.....

Echoing what was already said, I like my hair to have some texture and I never did like the bone straight egyptian look. Bone strait = thin hair IMO.

I have one product by bone strait and it's their wrapping setting lotion, which I have only used once.

I used the relaxer years ago and it was nothing to write home about.:ohwell:

I used it when we were first starting to do my hair without my evil hairdresser...and...I will never use it again, my hair was so dry and brittle, and breakage...yeah...

I'd sure like to know who was on their test panel...
Me too. I used Bone Strait products (dont remember if it included the relaxer) when I had ear length hair and didnt know how to take care of my hair! :lachen: :lachen:

Is this a RECENT consumer reports? The Bone Strait relaxer was rated high many, many years ago. I'm surprised that it still is though. If you are referring to the one that was done five years ago, these are all boxed relaxers (in the Bone Strait category) and most were no lye. There were only two salon relaxers tested.

I tried one of their maintenance products several years ago, and it made my hair very dry and feel really nasty. I knew right then and there not to even think about using the relaxer.

IIRC, that is a TCB product line.
