I did this all summer with a mix of coconut oil, olive oil, and 10 en 1. I loved the hell out of it. I could do it and go right to bed double capped and scarved. I loved the moisture and softness and I think I may start doing that again

I just did this for the first time last night with AO HSR mixed with Vatika Frosting. I'm about to find out the results now! :yep: I'm gonna have 2 min Aphogee on standby in case of a moisture overload, but with my hair, that's highly improbable. :look:

ive done it plenty of times and loved it. i really like to do it with banana brulee but its cold now. i've also done it with aveda brilliant with great results.

I answered this before but since I have added an overnight DC on the regular. Friday night before bed I saturate my hair with cholesterol con and coconut oil. scarf or if my hair is super dry baggy under my bonnet. Then I wash and my hair has responded really really well.

I say do it...as long as you don't let it dry out over night. If mine stays pretty damp, its much easier to detangle in the morn.

I tried it a couple of times and enjoyed it. The last time I did this with ORS, the back of my head started itching. I scratched all night long. Rinsed in the morning. I noticed my hair was too mushy. Got a relaxer about two weeks later and my hair had thinned out where I had been scratching.:wallbash:. Won't try this again but if it works for you good.

Now I do a hot oil treatment as my pre-poo, then continue with my regi.

Hmmm.. I did this last night; but I also cowashed this morning..so really couldn't tell... Trying it tonight with Kerastase Nutridefense mask (conditioner) mixed with Shescentit orange conditioner and avocado oil.. (yes.. I smell like a fruit salad..lol).. But this could be a great option to get those 2-3X weekly DC's in.. and I hate sitting under a hot a$$ dryer!

I did this for the first time when I was experiencing protein overload. I used the Silk Elements Megasilk moisturizing treatment then did a rinse with Aussie Moist. That overload was gone QUICK.

I just did a overnight DC with Silk Elements MegaSilk Moisturizing Treatment and my hair turned out great, slip like no other!!

I say NAY. I want to stick to the manufacturer's recommendations. I have fine, thin hair and I HATE when it's over-conditioned! That's one of my biggest peeves...My only thing is, I don't want to use heat AT ALL. Even for my 20 min conditioner that I'll be using every other week (which recommends heat). So, I might have to deviate from the directions a bit :perplexed ...I'm hoping that I can get away with a baking soda wash instead to open up my pores/cuticles so the DC can seep in...Gymfreak has warned me that too much baking soda isn't good. And I DEFINITELY won't be doing it every week (it's STRONG-I tried it)! Has anyone tried this successfully?

Thanks.

I do this once a week on Friday nights. No adverse affects. I continue to do this because my dry hair needs all the moisture it can get.

I've gotten good results from this. I use Silicon Mix, place it on dry hair then a cap on my head and go to bed. I do this on an average twice a month. Silicon Mix is the only conditioner I've tried overnight.

since i dont have a hooded dryer, i do this
and my hair is majorly dry like majorly dry
so it lets my hair be nice and soft

I'm scared tooo, my hair is really fine -- I think it might be too much for my hair... but I do pre-poo with olive oil or castor oil over night then wake up and deep condition on Saturday morning - works great for my hair...

Overnight conditioning causes too much moisture for my hair, it becomes a mushy mess! I have fine hair that needs protein, protein, protein but even with that I don't leave it on too long. Sometimes, less is more.

The first time I tried it w/ just a moisturizing conditioner my hair came out limp and too mushy, I tried it again and mixed CON conditioner with ORS Replenishing and it came out amazing, not too soft and de-tangling was a breeze. I do this at least once a month now...

I DC overnight sometimes, but I would not do it more than once a week. Usually this is my lazy day when I don't feel like sitting under the dryer.

I've been experiencing breakage lately and I think it might be due to overnight dc'ing every other night as part of the dc every other day challenge.or, it might be due to baggying.

The only conditioner that makes my hair feel good when I do this is Alter Ego Garlic (and not AO HSR and Hairveda's Sitrinillah), but I'm having brekage nonetheless. So I think I should either stop dc'ing every other day or continue, but only do so according to the DC instructions, 15-30min.

I did the Aphogee 2 step last Satuday and I'm wondering if it would be too soon to do the 2min today? I need to stop the breakage now. I haven't DC'd since Mon night/Tues morning because on Wednesday, the breakage made me stop doing everything. Help!
