I really like the cut. Looks cute on you. Your style is probably fitting for an art student. As long as you know you can't work certain jobs with orange hair and a mohawk...

It's not a mohawk, it's just the Rihanna cut with curly hair.

I'm in art school, but it's on a technicality. I'm actually within the school of business (based on courses) on an MBA track. I know I can't get jobs with these hairstyles...which is why I'm doing them now.

For real? What's an art student's style supposed to consist of? Since you want to throw stereotypes around, I'd like you to enlighten us.

looks great and you look nice with it

fyi maybe you should but a watermark on your pics you can do it at pixlr.com this way those that ask about posting your pics wont just take them

Looks pretty cool.
I read its the "Rihanna" cut, though it looks mohawk-ish in the pics I saw. (Makes me wish I could see more angles)
Very cute on you nonetheless. Sometimes I wish I could pull off things like this...

Lmao @ the title of the thread. I was expecting someone with WL hair to cut to twa!
That would have made me clutch ma pearls fa real!

But I like the cut, you are a pretty girl and rock it well. You make bold choices with your hair and I respect that :)

Very pretty!!!! Next time I see you Imma teach you how to flat twist so you don't have to cut your hair when you get hot lol!! :D

Imma need you to find something else to do... something that does not include messing with your hair. We are going to have to stage an intervention and come get all of your hair toys.

I think art students tend to be more edgy, takes more risk with fashion and tend to embrace their own style because they tend to embrace their creativity. If I walk in an art class and see someone with OP's hairstyle, I would think that's fierce. If I walk in a business class and see a student with the same hairstyle, I'd be thinking I hope she grow it out by graduation time.

Stereotypes get thrown around all the time Every time we look at someone and form an opinion, it's stereotype. If you don't do that, more power to you.

thank you for your opinion.

this thread was just regarding my new haircut, not my lifestyle and my clothing in relation to the corporate world. i'm well aware of stereotypes or what i may be perceived as. it's not as if i'd do this without expecting any kind of consequences.

You're welcome, I guess. I initially brought it because you mentioned employment and career. But all that is just my opinion...

Ugh, every time I hear these kinds of discussions it really makes me want to stay far far far away from the world of "corporate."

Looks pretty! I had that cut before Rihanna. I think her stylist stalks me on the low...I called it a frohawk though.
