As you may know, I was on the fence and stressing some awful about getting layers recently (hoping that this would help to ease me into my transition a little quicker). Although I never really made my mind up, I know for sure that at least I need my ends clipped.
I have been doing braidouts quite often and I have finally mastered them (to my satisfaction) where my hair comes out shiny, soft, and bouncy. I plan on wearing braidouts 85% of the time during my transition. I am still planning to cut off a few inches of hair every 90 days. For the remainder of the 15% of the time when will want to wear my hair straight I want my ends to be nice and clean.
If I get them clipped now, will my braidouts further protect my ends from damage? (moisturizing and sealing with castor/coconut oil and baggying my braids at night) I ask because I would like to start anew on fresh ends, but wondered if it really mattered since I would be wearing braidouts most of the time anyways.
Hope I didn't confuse anyone.
Thanks in advance!
