I am loving the Dr. Bronner's Almond Castile Soap. This morning, instead of using shampoo I diluted it with water and proceeded to wash as usual. All I can say is "Wow!" My hair wasn't dry at all! In fact, it was quite moisturized.

After that I applied HE LTR Conditioner and I am DC with it as I type this. I think I will continue to stick with using this diluted castile soap for my weekly shampoos. Its a keeper! :yep:

They have the rose in the bottle, I have not looked for the lemo but will today when I go pick up some items at Mothers Market.

The Almond smell so so good :lick: all of us wash our bodies with that flavor. I use the Pepermint for the floors, I wash our clothes with the Lavendar and I wash my hair with the Tea Tree.

Are there any other *flavors* of castile soap that I haven't ran across yet?

I use lavender in the shower, and I've purchased the rose before - smells divine.

Rose and I love it. I use the rose almond oil too by home health I think, they are always next to each other at whole foods. I have tea tree too but I rarely use it.

I plan on picking up a sample size of the peppermint today at Target or the Vitamin Shoppe.]

ETA: I purchased the sample size of the peppermint today from Target and made Tracyee's shampoo mix. I will use it tomorrow to wash my hair. Hopefully, it will work for me b/c I am just so over commercial haircare products.

I will be buying one when my shampoo is done. My husband has been killing my $10 burts bees for his less than 1/4" of hair and it needs to stop. Not to mention I have a baby girl coming. My children seem to have very dry skin and I don't want my little girl to have any itchy-scratchy legs. I think it's going to be between almond and lavender for me, but I can't remember how I feel about lavender scent. I have to check in the store. Peppermint would be nice for hair though.

I picked up the Almond version from the health store today. It smells awesome...I'm going to try it tonight. Hopefully, it will be able to replace commercial shampoos for me.

I picked up Dr.Bonner's gentle formula for babies. This is the FIRST thing that I've ever sniffed that truly had little to no scent. I let my boyfriend sniff it and he was amazed too. My skin is really sensitive so I wanted to try this first before I bought a big honkin' bottle of it lol. I smelled four of the other flavors (tea tree=ugh, peppermint=ok, almond=yum because it reminds me of Jergins lotion, and orange=hmmm maybe lol). I really want to smell the rose. :yep:

I love the Rose. Dr. Bonners also has a Hair line with Shikakai powder and honey too! we sell it at my health store. Smells wonderful! Haven't used it yet!

I haven't mastered using Castille soap for my hair, but I have been using it for all kinds of other purposes. Dr. Bronner's Castille soap in almond is my fav. It gets out stains really well mixed w/ some water

So far I've only used tea tree for my hair and body...i hate the medicine smell but the benefits are SO worth it. When this bottle is done I'm trying the almond!

Thanks for this thread! I brought the peppermint one to try it as shampoo! I didn't know it could do all the things you listed! Awesome!:yep:

I like the peppermint. I like the tingle that I get on my scalp from it. I take it pure some of it out, and put a little oil in it and I am good to go. Dr. Bronners is my favorite hair wash. It does not dry my hair out like shampoo sometimes does.

I tried it for brushing my teeth and let me say it was :hand:. Never ever again!:nono2: I loved it for a shower gel, though. I'll try it on my hair my next wash.:yep:

I saw castle soap at the Hy-vee health market when picking up some almond oil. It sounds wonderful for shampooing! I will try it once my almost full bottles of shampoo are gone lol. Now, I was a little confused when reading about the cleaning properties, is it the one that has coconut oil as the first ingredient that does the best cleaning for household purposes?

I wash my face at night with the Almond castle soap

It was waaaay too drying for my hair (when it was relaxed)

I just purchased the soaps tonight! I have all but the tea tree! I thought I bought it.
I have the Almond, Pepperment, Lavender, Orange Citrus, Eucalytus, and the Rose bars.

I hope these are good to shampoo my hair with! Of course not all at once! HeHe:grin:

i bought one of those little 2 oz bottles of dr. bronner's almond castille soap... and diluted it by pouring the entire bottle into a 3/4 full bottle of trader joe's nourish conditioner... the smell combination is heavenly! i love my new "shampoo"!

This sounds like a lovely idea!

I have 3 'flavors' of Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap (lavender, peppermint and tea tree). I use them to shower with. Instead of diluting them, I just use a small amount. A little goes a very long way.

I love Dr. bronners. Pepermint is my fave followed by Almond and Lavendar. I want to try the Rose one and I think there is a Citrus one now???
