For some reason, I can not get over shoulder length. I wont say that I can't but it is taking me forever!!

What did you ladies to do help get over this growth hurdle?

Weaves, braided extensions, buns, cowashes, deep conditioning, stretching?

Any advice to us who are going through this?

She's not quite APL yet BUT she is past shoulder length. The same advice still applies, keep your hair pinned up and off your shoulders:grin: and you'll see the difference:yep:

Always remember you have to guard those ends like a jealous lover!

That is the oldest part of your hair and they can be traumatized by everything and friction is enemy no. 1

I would suggest putting the ends up and away as much as possible during this stage of length.

Ditto what the ladies are saying. I keep my hair up in ponytails and buns after co-washing and the SL just snuck up on me out of nowhere. Just keep on girl and it will happen. :crystalba

I agree with the ladies that said protective styling is key..:yep:
I bun consistenly and stretched my relaxers 10-12 weeks and that has helped get me over the shoulder length hump and now I'm 2 1/2" to BSL. :spinning:

Thanks for the advice ladies.

The back layer is close to touching APL, but the rest is stagnant and wont go past where it is.
