I vaguely remember your posts about Avocado as a conditioner, but last week KhandiB told me that you are actually making and selling a conditioner. Spill the beans, girl!

What do you use it for? What are the ingredients?

Didn't you have a thread about around here some where?

Thanks!

Hey honeydew, Hey All

Yeah, i am and have been selling my conditioner for the back few months now.

As you may or may not know, i've been using it for the last few years as my only protein/strengthening treatment, as the ones on the market havent done me much justice over the years, and getting the right balance of moisture and protein has always been hard for me and many others to level.

theres two different types of avocado conditioner

Type 1: Is the one i've raved about for years, and the most traditionally used. It contains EVOO, Hass Avocado and Water, Egg white is also added for additional properties, to target the condition and protein for the top layer only, whilst the protein in Avocado targets the inner layers. An applicator brush is included.

I use it on dry hair, for 30-45 minutes before shampooing.
After that i proceed to deep condition.

Type 2: Is the same minus the egg and minus preservatives (natural ones are used for type two. Type two is more moisturizing as its without the egg and includes Carrageenan powder which allows for easier application.

I have a moisturizing lotion (avocado butter based) in planning, and this will be complete by next week.

The shampoo will be done the week after. (avocado based)

These 3 are the trio of Avocado based products, as i love Avocado and it truly is a god given fruit.

I also formulate products for individuals, depending on hair type. so contact me with details of your hair type and issues

and i'l lmake a recommendation, and we can go from there

Sorry for any typos!

That's my problem. My moisturizing choices are low. I want more protein/silicone free conditioners.

Tell me about it. I'm okay with the moisturizers that I have, but I'd really like to have something that I'm excited about, and not just okay. My hair seems to have a good moisture/protein balance, but I think it could be better.

GOOD LAWD Candy C...i haven't seen you in a few weeks and now you show up with waist length hair!!! WHOA! GOOD JOB! your hair is gorgeous. congrats! and congrats on your hair product biz!

Hey guys!!

I shall put up a new link today for TYPE 2

It will be listed as:

Avocado Treatment Conditioner - Deep Conditioning.

Sorry i hadnt put it up.

I'll also add the different sizes too.

Please do not hesitate to email me on: [email protected]
and the website http://www.myspace.com/naturalhairsecrets

For those who have already ordered Type 2 I shall ship these by Friday the latest - i will also include a free 4oz size of type 1 cos your guys opinion are important to me.

Let me know if you have any allergies, and i can formulate a type 1 or 2 suited to you

_______________________________________________________________

How long does the product last:

on Average - anything upto 6 months, depending on how you store them and depending on what preservatives i use. Because Avocado is a fruit, and can easily go ransid, i suggest leaving these products in a very cool place, i store mine in the fridge, some people i know put them in the freezer; or you could store them in a dark cool place in your bathroom.

When i buy, what will i get?

You will get an 8oz bottle of type 1 or 2, and a free sample of either one you did not purchase - a handy 4oz bottle

Instructions are at the back of every bottle

I do not do 16oz bottles yet, but i will if people request this from me..

An applicator brush is also supplied for TYPE 1 - it is not supplied with the sample unless this is required.

The conditioners you purchase come in a push down top. and the sample all come in green bottles with a flip top lid.

Prices?

Same for all: GBP: £3.50
£2.50 Shipping

At the moment these will stay as they are, any changes, i will tell you in advance

Why are you doing this?

To help you grow your hair, and give something back - without knowledge of black hair, my hair would still be collar bone length....

I want to assist others on their journey with moisturzing products, that work day in day out. Techniques of how to use them are important, theres always 3 ways to use any product...

Hey Virgo_Chinwe

I've re-illiterated the free offer. Its basically a 4oz bottle of the other conditioner, that you have not purchased. So for instance you buy type: 1 (8oz) i wil lgive your a bottle of type: 2 (4oz) free. Its a decent size 4oz mind you, and ful lto the brim :)

I ship everywhere its not a problem

US and UK the same price for the time being - shipping etc.

You would only need to place an order for one type to get a free sample of the other.

Its just a matter of preference really.

_____________

At the moment i'm putting together a concoction that i've researched for a few weeks. its a topical growth oil (yes i know i'm not a fan of these) but i'm going to study it for the nxt few weeks and try it on myself to see what the deal is. Apparently used twice a day, this ingredient increases hair growth upto 27% so...not much i hear you cry, but still promising.

P, please, pleeeeeeeease, give feedback after you've used it. If you're hair likes it, then it's a good 8 out of 10 chance that I'd like it to try it.
