Post pics of you rockin' your UPA here. I love seeing how many different textures and styles these things work with.

Yeah Sareca, you make me want one and I swore off wearing fake hair!!

ETA: I just looked over the site and I am not seeing anything that resembles my hair. Sareca which one did you get?

Can you baggy you hair while wearing one of these clips? I'm not understanding how the hair stays hidden, even after looking at the site. How does you hair not poke out between the pony hair?

Lavendar, imagine a sandwich..the bread is the Lace Flair...the inside of the sandwich or meat is your hair..the Lace Flair envelopes your hair..no..your hair will not show.

Yours is beautiful. That's the one I want. So if my hair is straight and my UPA is wavy, my straight hair won't stick all out through the UPA? I know I asked that already, I'm just really concerned cause I've never worn hair other than mine. Sorry for being redundant, I just gotta be certain before I pay that much money.:(

Thanks. For sure it will not show. I was concerned about the cost also..mine are all synthetic.....tangles underneath after few wearings but cream rinse untangles it.

I can't even argue with you. I don't like phony ponies either. This is the only one I'll wear and I do it with complete confidence. I co-worked picked lint out of my UPA this morning without ever realizing it wasn't my hair.

I've brought 3 UPAs two Jheri curl and one straight. After I ruined the straight one (long story) I went to the BBS got some more hair. Sewed it together on the sewing machine then sewed it in the clip by hand. It was really easy.

My husband came in and saw me sewing a track together on the sewing machine as like  "You've gone too far now!" :lachen:

Hey Sareca and BrooklynSouth...What type hair and color did each of you get your UPA?

type: Jheri curl
color: 1

But it's not impossible to change the hair out if it gets old or damaged or isn't quite right. I've also henna'd and indigo'd a one.

I love that barette!

I put my hair in a ponytail then braid the ponytail. No sticking out. :nono:

Yup, your butterfly is so pretty and the barettes are so easy to change out once you get the hang of it and learn to listen for the right "click" to make sure it is correctly attached when changing out and especially learn the right click when it's attached to your hair. I sometimes do a french braid almost to the end then secure it to the mid-tail. The color..I sent a swatch of my just henna/indigoed, relaxed hair.I also do an Infusium spritz to my ends.

I miss my UPA clip. I was going through some things and the last thing on my mind was my hair. I reached back to touch it and it was gone!!!! Someone probably swiped it out of jealousy. Im going to try to get another one soon.

I don't wear mine much anymore, because it doesn't match my hennaed haircolor. The hair in the clip is still a little lighter than my haircolor. I keep meaning to try and dye it, but I just haven't gotten around to it.

Awww, thanks!:D I like that pic, it was taken in May at my cousin's college graduation. It was humid outside, so my bantu knot-out went limp, but I managed to survive.

I'm saying...can we get a puff for the naturals? It couldn't be that hard.

if you look on the website, you'll see that they have an afro-curly one. maybe if you comb it out a bit it'll look more afro-ish

Thanks Sareca and Brooklyn,

I feel a little more confident now. Maybe I have finally found a way to give my bun a nice long rest! Now where is the best place on the head to cut a hair swatch? Every place I think of seems like it would be so obvious to someone looking at my head. Also, are you ladies all getting synthetic or Remy? I don't really know the difference.

I fearfully cut a 2 inch piece from behind my right, back ear about 10 strands; that's the piece which always falls out of my bun anyway. Yes, it has grown back, still falling:ohwell: .

Did you have to get your pony-tail customized or did you just order it straight from the site w/ no special requests? I want to know if you requested more hair to be added into the ponytail.

I wish that I could find one that i liked. The pics just don't appeal to me. They all seem like they would just look fake on me.
