Sterry I to have concerns about this being a marketing ploy. Everyone who seems to have these miraculous results is new to the board (as far as their amount of posts) it just makes me wonder why all the sudden several people join a hair board just to rave about surge (unless they are getting paid to do it) and if their hair is growing that fast why isnt it to their butt by now? Truly if someones hair is growing 4 inches in a month because of this wouldnt that be news worthy--the product of the year? I mean that's better than Rogaine, a hair transplant and everything. Who knows? I'm going to keep my eye on the product though because once the creditable LHCF ladies review it I can trust it 100%? We will see, I'm skeptical though.

I also wanted to add that I dont think anything bad will happen from using this product like-->hair loss. And I want to mention that the product only claims to increase hair growth by 5.5% and stop split ends and breakage.

I don't really believe this stuff can cause hair to grow 4 inches a month either. That is impossible by all standards. That would be in the Guiness Book of World Records. I think perhaps the person misjudged how much hair she had before she started using it, (like if she had three inches of new growth before she put her weave in, then took it out and measured all of it together). This is probably an industrial strength hair strengthner if nothing else.

Hey Ladies! I jumped on the surge challenge mainly because some of our veteran members stated they got good results from it. However if I don't see anything significant in about a month I will discountinue use. My hair is doing excellent with the supplements I take so I just wanted to see if I can get an extra boost. I do agree that 4 inches in a month sounds on the high end so we shall see. I will post a detailed review once the product has been tested for a full month. Wish me luck!

I too think 4 inches in one month is a bit much. And where is the poster who had those results??? I'd be jumping up and down defending it. Like DSD I will post a review once the month is over, we are being generous coz they said 14 days!!!

Hey Deby, If I were getting that kind of growth I would have some really good pics to go along with it so the skeptics could take a look for themselves.

I saw the pics but they were not that clear. She did have a good amount of hair but no actual progress picks to prove the growth.

Well I am not new to the board and I am now on my 4th bottle of Surge. I started using this product months ago. I get excellent results but then again as we all know what works for one might not work for another. You also have to take into account other contributing factors like care of the hair, consistency,nutrition, vitamins, stress, and medical conditions. I also saw the post of the member who said she got 4 inches of growth in 1 month and that does seem "miraculous", but who am I to question her? The most growth I've gotten so far is 5 inches in 11 weeks but take into account I was also wearing a sew-in weave at the time and my hair was not being manipulated. Other times without the weave I consistently gotten about 2 inches and my hair line has filled in a lot, but not totally. Also other members and I have been sending pm's to one another for months about our results, there are several earlier threads about Surge also.

when I bought it at the BBS...the guy said it was a new product...not sure how new.
But I was also browsing the net and came across this product I'vs seen before and it has that mucosach........ingredient and it's for thinning hair. Surge may not be a gimmick...but only time will tell.........

Mabey for some people this is the latest thing, but I and several other members on this board have been using surge for months and raving about it to each other through pm's.

I am certainly not a new member, I was the 148th person to join this board and have been following it since they broke from LHL when it became a pay to play site. I don't have a lot of posts because I don't comment on something unless it strikes my interest.

I can only speak from my own experience with surge, I did not get any miracles from it but I am very pleased with the results that I have been getting.

I am with Ginger, I never expected any miracles from Surge, I just bought it because I liked the ingredients and I hoped it would work. I do like the results I am getting, of course it is your decision, but I wouldn't look at it like a marketing ploy, because honestly I don't think it is. I expect growth, just because I am taking care of my hair, but I don't expect four inches in a matter of weeks, the product doesn't even promise that, but if the young lady is taking care of her hair I guess it is possible for her to get 4 inches from a combination of things, not just Surge alone, many of us use so many products, massage, and wash so often that we deserve some growth.

Hi, All!!!I just went out and bought this product today and will start my Surge challenge come tomorrow, Monday, Nov 17. Wish me luck... This coming Thursday will put me 9 weeks post relaxer... I usually wait at least 14 weeks before another touchup... We'll see how this goes!!!

Well, I can finally be part of the Surge family. I just started on 11/15. I spray my roots and ends; and occassionally a quick spray all over and seal with Softee Indian hemp on ends and Hawaiian Silky 14 n 1 Miralce Worker Activator/Conditioner/Moisturizer on rest of hair. I relaxed on 11/8; but it was underprocessed. Took pics on 11/15 So we'll see! Thanks for the challenge DSD! and thanks for the great Biotin regimn; I just started week 2; but I missed two days, so I'm gonna do two more days at 12mg then down to the 10mg( way yoo much partying on my birthday

I started on Saturday and I part my hair and spray my scalp and then I've been wrapping my hair. So far all I can say is that my roots are soft and if it only does that I'll be happy

I've always had doubts about the poster that popped in to talk about her 4in. growth using Surge, but because of some of the board vets I bought it believing it would help with my growth. I'd just be happy getting 1 in. a month instead of my usual 1/2 in.

Thanks, DSD! I see you have a new photo of your daughter's hair in your avatar. Her hair's lookin' lovely... Keep up the good work, Mom!!! I think I will be relaxing my 9 year old daughter's hair soon. This should help with the shrinkage.

Thanks AJD! Her hair is coming along quite nicely. It has been almost 2 years since I relaxed her hair and she has really gained a lot of length.
