Hey-Can everyone mentionwhich part of the state they are from since it is so big. I live in Riverside, outside LA. The weather is still hot and dry in the low 90's high 80's. When it cools off it will be in the 50's or 60's, sunny and dry typically. We don't get much rain, just lots of wind.

2) natural (since I was born)
3) Water, baking soda, castile soap, coconut milk, evoo, coconut oil, castor oil (I really like oil )
4) My hair is usually in celie braids under a half wig. Or in a sew in. I usually rinse my hair everyday with water and then slather on castor oil. When I take my braids out I wash with castile soap or baking soda/water (sometimes I detangle with evoo after). Pour coconut milk on while I'm in the shower and then rinse out. Then I section my hair, add coconut oil, comb through, and braid it up. If I'm in a sew in I rinse my hair every 2-3 days and then use an applicator bottle to apply castor oil. About once a week I soak my hair in castor oil and leave it on overnight under a shower cap.

msa.. how do you keep your hair moisturized.. i had a tough time during my natural stage

Water and oil. I believe that the only thing hair needs is water to be moisturized, which is why I rinse my hair everyday (and, I also wash my body everyday so I figure my scalp should be clean also).

I use oil to "seal" the moisture in my hair. My hair feels good with just water on it but once I add oil it feels great. I like coconut oil for detangling and braiding my hair up because it's easy to apply and I don't have to use a lot. Castor oil is my favorite oil and I use it everyday. I like that it's so thick and my hair stays soft because of it.

Since I don't relax or dye my hair there's no need for me to use all kinds of other stuff. And, I think drinking a lot of water (and a good diet) is key in keeping my hair moisturized.
