I'll join. I've never done a castor oil challenge. Does the starting photo have to be on straightened hair or can I just pull on a piece?
Dang, I thought Cycle 2 ended in December! Poor me! I'm loving my JBCO and I have plenty of castor oil remaining...Im joining this challenge, and paying attention to the start day too lol...I will straighten my hair tomoro and be back with the results as my starting pic!
How many times are you oiling your scalp a week? Do you dilute the CO before you oil your scalp? It's so thick, I don't want it to weigh my hair down.
On the days that you don't use JBCO can you use other products on your scalp? Thanks!
Happy Hair Growing!
Hey BG! I'm in again. My new siggy is my length check after my last relaxer. I'm still using JBCO in my conditioners and gaining thickness, but I'm not having any luck growing my edges..any suggestions???

I'm in! I am going to be focusing more on my edges to help thicken them up.
I am using a mixture of organic castor and peppermint oils.
You can see how thin my edges are in my siggy. (I can't upload a pic for some reason right now - I will when it starts working again)
I'm in. I've been adding JBCO to my DCs ever since the first challenge. I am going back to using it on my front edges 2ce a day. At the moment I cannot add attachments to my posts (not sure if this is because of the upgrade). But as soon as I am able I will post a starting pic.
Yes (at least the JBCO is I haven't tried others) and yes
I guess I'll join too. Just started actually 'greasing' with my CO yesterday. My scalp is already sore.
Starting pic TBD
Nasdaq why is your scalp sore?
^^ Why is your scalp sore? Does CO cause that? (I don't know much about CO besides the thickening qualities and that it stiiiiiinks!)

the JBCO has a burnt smell, but if you get regular clear CO their should be no odor.
My scalp was sore in a few spots from scalp massaging. Now, I don't agitate the scalp as much nor as long so my scalp is now fine.Nah, I dont think it's the castor oil directly. I use ayurvedic powders as well. I mixed the castor in with my oil infusion. I do know that castor oil is a purgative..so it may be trying to get the toxins out. But, again that's just my hypothesis. It's not a bad, or painful sore..so I dont want you all to think that. Just kinda tender..just a little bit.
I'm not using JBCO, I heard that STANK! I'm just using my plain castor that I also use in my OCM (oil cleansing method)
