Count me in. I'm praying that i'll be braw strap by then. my hair grows sooo slow.

Well slow-growth or not, your hair looks beautiful, Godsflowerr. :) I just commented in your fokti.

Well, I'm in! This will be my first challenge so I'm excited. I think that by April of next year I will be at bra strap length if my hair continues to grow the way it is.

I’m still pressing the battle!

So far I have gained 2” (from 11/05 to 3/06) and from the looks of things I may have increased my growth rate. I am really hoping to get ¾ to 1 inch per month.

I have adjusted my time frame to the end of the year instead of 9/2006. I did not want to pressure myself and rather take it slow.

I'm glad to see that so many of us have the same current length/hair type! Let's me know we're on the same track for 2007.

I have a question--has anyone tried both capsules and powder/liquid vitamins? I'm just assuming that powder and liquid are better, but has anyone actually put this to the test? I'm about to stock back up on my vitamins!

Miss priss! I think that we are hair twins. My hair looks exactly like yours except its a light brown color.

I will say March 2007 since that is my 1 year LHCF anniversary!

I am in! I posted this yesterday but I had a lot of problems posting.
GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!
Be Blessed.

I'm in. I have been trying to grow my hair for a very, very long time now- as a natural and a texturized head. I will be getting a relaxer in June and start tracking my progress from then. I am about 3-4 inches from armpit, so I should be at brastrap in 2007- Count me in.

Hi, ladies I know I joined this challenge, but my goals have now changed. My hair was very uneven :(. The back was long and the front was chin length so I went to my stylist and had her to cut it even all over so that my hair can grow out even all over. So now my new goal is armpit length. Who knows I might just make it to brastrap length by Dec.2007 :ohwell:, I've got my fingers crossed. I will post a picture of the new cut later.

Yeah My progress has fallen way off track! When I texturize this weekend I'll see where my starting point is...I'll probably be apart of this challenge.

Girl, I don't see anything uneven about ur hair! Girls, we have got to stop being so hard on ourselves. We are all beautiful, special women that God created to be individual and unique!!!!!!:D

I did my first co-wash last night and I really liked it. My hair is really soft and it got rid of some of the oil build-up that I had on my hair. I will try to keep this up.

GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!
Be Blessed

Let me know how you do your wash routine...my hair is so fragile too, that I hate to even touch it when wet! I have to part before I wash, section and braid in about 8 plaits or so. I have to be so delicate, but I guess it will pay off in the end!

Same here girl, which is why i am a little leery about the co-washing. But i think it could really help me, in terms of all the additional moisture and nutrients i'll be getting. Im only going to do it once a week, and I think I'll use that same technique of putting my hair into several big, tight braids, and washing it gently that way. It really sounds like that reduces tangling during the washing and combing out afterward. As long as i feel like im still getting to the scalp, this sounds good to me.

How are you ladies doing?

I'm preparing for a major trim this week or the next :perplexed , but I'm actually excited because my hair really thrives after an aggressive trim. I just hope I don't have to start from shoulder length again :p .

Any recommendations, you can check out my updates, I'm prepared for the worst. I want healthy hair at the end of the day, so I feel like letting the Dominicans go scizzor happy. I'm expecting 1.5-2 inches chopped off.

ONE: girl shoot, you are already at APL, you go girl. I just stalked, I mean checked out your album!

Well, I am doing pretty good. I am mostly bunning with phony ponies. It does get boring, but I am seeing a definate change in my hair. I am on my way to BSL!

Yeah, the buns are boring, but it works! Eyes on the prize  . I just bought a phony pony too that I plan to rock for the summer.

ANY OTHER UPDATES??? Come on, I know some of ya'll are on the MN CHALLENGE :sekret: or MTG'ing over here  .

Hey everyone, I'm new, Ebony Perez, nice to meet you all!!! I am definitely in on this one. I haven't started a new regimen but I think the summer would be perfect for that because it seems thats when I have the less breakage. So BRASTRAP IN 2007 here I come!!

Welcome Eb!
Your hair is already gorgeous. So you are doing something right already!

I'm doing pretty well! I've been pretty consistent with my regimen, but I've missed a couple of weekly CW. I failed to mention in my original post that I take about 1 tsp of MSM powder daily. I'm not sure if it helps my hair grow, but it makes my new growth a lot softer. I also think I need to set a goal for BSL by December 2007. I have such an urge to cut my hair a little bit.

Im in!
I hope i can make BSL by the end of next year, but something is telling me its gonna be hard, but bring it on! Im getting 1/2 inch per month and have 4-5 inches to reach BSL
so i will do my best to retain everything i grow.

Hey everyone i would like to join this challenge. This will be the first challenge im gonna participate in since joining LHCF and im hoping to be at brastrap sometime in 2007 im shooting for around this time next year. I am currently 4 1/2" away from brastrap so im hoping to reach my goal, however i am currently having some issues with breakage so once i get that under control i can actually progress.

I"m in, I don't know where my hair is right now because i have box braids in my hair that i put in back in April. But last time i checked it was at the base of my neck.
I would like to reach BSL by DEC of 07

I need to get me a fotki album sorted. :lol:But I'm in! I'm at shoulder length when stretched, and am currently aiming for armpit length this year, so bra-strap by 2007 is achievable...just got to work out a solid regimen.. :scratchch :

What's everyone else going to do as a regimen?
Same here! I should be 1/2 inch past APL by Dec 06. When I get there I'm gonna wear it down for the entire month of Dec :yay:. Jan 07 I'm gonna trim it (1/2 an inch or so) and start back on my bun and C&G routine and pray for BSL by Dec 07.

Definitely count me in! Hi ladies, it's been a while since I have posted on this site. I'm glad to see some of the old and new members of LHCF still taking care of their own hair.

My hair is about 4-5 inches past my shoulders. It hasn't moved much since my picture from last June since stylist kept cutting off what I was growing. I'm definitely not getting another trim this year. Other than that, my hair continues to grow and look very healthy.
