ohhh the good old protective styles, u will be at brastrap in no time!

people i wanna know how your gonna maximise your growth to get to brastrap this year.

this is for everyone by the way natural, relaxed, texturised, transitioning any kinda hair you have, juss gotta get to that brastrap!

I'm in! I'll be wearing my bun...with a few breaks here and there. Cutting back from daily to washing 2-3 times a week.

Well I'm in the APL challenge and the WSL challenge, so since I have a beginning and end I guess I need a middle, LOL, so w/that said I'll join this one, when the ending date, 12/06???

yeahhh, i like that, something you know you can achieve and is a known factor to some good growth!

I'll be using NO HEAT but only when i have a relaxer (extended to 16 weeks!!)

i will check hair for splits monthly and dust when i need

CONSTANT donut bun from now on!

STICKING to my products!!!

AMLA pre poo overnight to keep my hair shiney and thick

VITAMINS biotin-b50 complex-and flax (iron when needed)

wash every 5-7 days

COMBING once a week

feeding my ends on grease

thats it for now!

Yuppp! gotta have that halfway point... :D

December 31st 2006 sounds good to me! AMPLE AMOUNT OF TIME to gain some serious length

I'm in, this is my first goal, im currently a few inches below shoulder so that is my next target!!! yay! protective styles like what.....bun, twists, etc...ima get their y'all!

I'm in the APL challenge for the first half of the year and my next goal is BSL. So I will try to shoot for BSL by December 2006.

I will be using MTG, Surge, and continue to take my vitamins. Also, I will be wearing protective styles and stretching my relaxers to 10 - 12 weeks.

Good, that gives me just enough time, God willing, I will try my best to stay in protective styles for the entire yr of 06 w/the exception of relaxer wk. You have to get your swing on every now and then, lol.

Thanks Candy_C, I hope so and pray for it!
Here is my regimen, I had posted it in the 2006 sew-in/ weave challenge thread:

FROM JANUARY TO JUNE 2006
Full head sew-in (3 times), box braids once.

For weaves: 6 weeks×3
For box braids:6weeks×1

Here is my program:
  • Moisturize once or twice a day with my homemade lotion.
  • Oil my kitchen area an my front hairline with a growth lotion (lotion suractivée Miss antilles) and a Phytocroissance serum every other day .
  • Oil my hair under the weave twice a week with my homemade pomade or others oils (olive, monoï, carrot).
  • Once by week : Cowash with diluted conditionner in a spray.
  • Shampoo and deep conditionning every 6 weeks after removing weaves or other style.
  • Get the style redone immediately after airdrying.

i totally agree!!

i think some nice pics would be good to see aswell! i think i'll have 4 photographs...

January / May / September / end of December 2006

^^ these are my touch up months

I'm in. I had hoped to reach bra strap and beyond by the end of this yr but I got sidetracked by my pregnancy, lack of dedication and too many trims...Way too many...I'm due for a touch up right now so I have no idea how far off I am. 2006 is the year I succeed in reaching and going beyond bra strap!

editing to add I plan on doing more buns and moisturizing. Also I plan to restart my vitamin regime...Well...sorta seeing as how I'm still BF'ing... Exercise also! Hopefully, this will jumpstart my growth again.

Im in! I hope to be there by December 2006...i just updated my album for comparison sake next year! good luck ladies!

I hope to max my growth by using MTG Candy, I want length as well as THICKNESS!

However this year I am going to stop wearing the weave, and deal with my own hair :)

Count me in!

My plan:
Co wash/deep condition every 5 days
Shampoo 2x per month
Rollerset with every wash
Stretch until 10 weeks (or longer)
Braidouts during the last 2-3 weeks of stretch
NO TRIMS!

I love wearing my hair down, so I won't be doing protective styles, but I figure rollersetting will help me reach my goal since I won't be putting direct heat on my ends like I used to. My ends are in pretty good shape, so hopefully I can keep them nice and not have to trim.

I'm excited! This is my first challenge, so it will be interesting. :)

Heyyy welcome! u wil lget there, u got good length going on, headstart!

I would like to join as well....I started the armpit challenge that ends in June so hopefully if I accomplish that, I will have 6 more months to get to Brastrap..for the ladies that are using MTG, do you know if better results are gained by using WGO, the same or is MTG better than WGO?

I think so, b/c I use WGO on my daughter to keep her scalp moisturized. I braided her hair up 3 wks ago and left them in for 2 1/2 weeks moisturizing her braids w/s-curl and her scalp w/WGO and she had 1/2 in of NG. Other have had success w/it also, I use the MTG for myself and we had the same amount of NG at our last touch-up 2 1/2 inch. of NG after a 16wk stretch, and I was using MTG while she used the WGO. You really have to test it out for at least a month and see what works best for you. HTH's
