BRAIDOUTS ON DRY HAIR?

I just used on another board of people doing braid outs on air dryed hair. They add oil/moisturizer and then braid once their hair has dried. Has anyone tried this method?

I've tryed that and for me I loose less hair that way but it does not last as long as the wet set.

i prefer them on dry hair because their is no shrinkage and they do last just as long as the wet set.
