Ladies,

Quick question, with the various styles of bras that are on the market, how can one determine if they are truly bsl or not? From time to time I'll check the length of my hair against the strap (wearing different bras) and sometimes I'm there and sometimes I'm not. (go figure???)

Can someone please help a sistah out?!!!

It really is subjective. For me, bra strap is about an inch or two below the bottom of my shoulderblades. But I see some ladies who's braclasps are right at the bottom of their shoulder blades, so I'd be there already. But I really want my hair to be a little longer. So I continue to grow it. You just have to decide what it is YOU want for YOUR hair. The goal is about where you want your hair to be.

Yep. It can't be hard and fast because every bra is different and so are body types. Bra strap for some of us is pretty close to waist, while for those with longer torsos its not.
Many pp. use the same bra every time to measure progress. That way there is a reference point that remains consistent. Beats getting a straight line tattooed across your back.

I agree. To me bra strap is where the lower band of the bra is 1 or 2 inches below the shoulder blades, but not yet even with the elbows when they are resting by your side.

Hmmm...If looking at that link that measures bra strap then it appears that quite a few ladies have NOT achieved BSL. The link indicates that the strap has to appear snugly around the rib cage and not so high up.

Hmmm...

I don't get as caught up in where my bra falls, but I make sure I don't "cheat" by adjusting the straps so it's not at the lowest point, making the bra higher than normal. It's adjusted about mid-way, and I use the same bra to measure each time.

Just pick a goal length and figure out where that hits your back. Then just use a bra to chart your progress.

Most bra bands come right under the breast. If you take a tape measure and go around you right under your breast you will get a point on your back that won't move like brastaps will. Since no one will see your brastrap out in public you will know where your hair falls on your body no matter what you have on. Just a suggestion. I don't use bras. But I know where my breasts are and don't think they are moving that much.

Based on your height and the type of bra you wear it varies. I would try measuring your hair to really get an idea of it's true length and find your goal. :yep:
