Black Friday Pj Challenge

Calling all PJs. I've never started a challenge, but I'm already thinking about Black Friday. I've done my part in the past to help the economy. In the past its been like a challenge on how much I can buy and I haven't been able to really appreciate my hauls. I know there are others like me out there. I challenge you to keep your black friday hauls to one vendor only this year. This is a simple challenge. It should be satisfying in that we can actually use our products and really be able to judge how our hair reacts to them. Feel free to change vendors at anytime, but you may only order from ONE.


So, who is with me??? Just choose one vendor, share your must try items if you wish. And here's the best part. If you do fail, confess here, forgiveness is guaranteed, and relieve yourself of the guilt.



I declare today that the only hair vendor I will purchase from on Black Friday will be Claudie's.

I been freaking out for the past few weeks like how am I possibly going to buy NOTHING during Black Friday I'm trying by something right NAH. This challenge may take that itch off.

I'll limit myself by the quality of sale. I will only consider brands with a 40% or more discount. But being on a year long braid regimen has saved me, I'm only looking for a good DC, some Njoy oil, and a good ayurvedic hair cream.

Good thread but I will be cheering for everyone from the sidelines tho

last year, I only purchased from 2 vendors which wasn't too bad considering how I get lol.
This year I will probably be keeping multiple tabs open

Thank you all for your participation and support. Obviously, this won't be front page news everyday so I will be bumping in order to keep us motivated. One thing I would suggest is staying out of the Black Friday sales thread. Just note the links to the bloggers that list the sales. I'll keep my eyes out and try to post them here. That way we can make our final decision without too much temptation. Let's do this.

Just remember that you don't have to make your decision now. Think about. Also, this is a safe space. No judgement. Another selling point would be that it does not include xmas sales, just black friday.

If you only knew how many links I've clicked on and products I've considered buying based on just your suggestion...well, you need to get paid.

I honestly wish everyone the best, to purchase from one vendor (or one place).

What if you placed orders from like one place? (Hattache, Curlmart, Pampered & Twisted) would that count? (j/s).

I think it is a great idea to reign all the PJ's in and for those that want to be held accountable, it is a great place for you all to gather.

With the sentiments expressed, I'll be cheering you all on into 2016!

Ok, that will be a loophole. " One vendor" will include those vendors that offer a variety of companies.

Hum, Hum....nope. I can't do it....lol. I only did 2 vendors last year, total amount was barely $90....So I don't believe it was too bad. This year I have several on my list. Soultanicals (staples), ABP, Jakeala and some deep conditioner from some beauty supply stores.

But I don't think soultanicals will beat the sale they're having now, 30% and free shipping. ABP always have good sales. Not sure about Jakeala. You can do it if you really try.

I know @IDareT'sHair is not up in this challenge. She is like outta' this thread.

Besides, with this challenge she will be severely constrained and her professional PJ skills will suffer and I'm counting on her to be my PJ adviser in 2016.
