I've found yet another winner!!!! Last night I sprayed distilled water on my ends and put on a little unrefinded SHea Butter. Talk about moist, silky and smooth. Once all of my other "end treatments" are gone, this will be my staple ends treatment.

I'm turning into a shea butter junkie. I should order a 2 pound tub of this stuff. I found distilled water in an ethnic food store here finally. It has rose in it, but it's better than nothing! So, I go to bed with my hair smelling like roses ... that's not too bad.

You are so right about Shea Butter. I bought it unrefined while in West Africa, straight from Mali. I used it on every inch of my body and my hair was saved thanks to it.

Hmmmm ... I should take a trip to Africa. I'd love to stock up on this stuff. How has your skin improved since using it?

Well, because I was pregnant while there, I suffered eczema something fierce on my legs. When I smoothed that stuff on, I was no longer itchy and forever hooked. I sunbathed in the stuff. Which resulting in glowing skin. In fact, the Senegalese wrestlers there pile the stuff on before wrestling.

Our bonne used shea butter for cooking! It has so many uses. But to answer your question, my skin soaks it up and responds nicely to it. I have no complaints otherthan it costing so darn much here in the States.

Wow Ballet Bun, that shea butter sounds great!

Kaaronica, I may need to try that for my daughter's eczema.

That sounds like a winner for both hair and skin.

shea butter is really brilliant, actually. I use it for my twists (and it holds and makes them feel so so soft), but i want to try mango butter

I love Shea Butter. I usually buy it from an african store in my area. I use it all over my body and hair. I also love the african black soap with shea butter.

I have some shea butter sitting in the cabnit that I bought and never used I will try this on my daughter's hair. I wish I could do it on mine but I will be in braids for another month.

I will let you know!

Wow, Ive been hollering about shea butter in this form for the longest time. Oh well I guess it depends on who is telling it. It's really a great product, especially mixed with olive oil

Guys, I'm so torn. Now I don't know whether to buy shea butter or carol's daughter healthy hair butter. I recently started a post and everyone said the the HHB was better than plain shea butter and now yall have to tempt me.

You guys are so right about the shea butter!!! I just started using it about a week ago and it makes my hair so soft without being greasy. I'm in braids now, but I'm going to keep using it as a daily moisturizer. I have a tub of the unrefined stuff and also a product called organic root stimulator shea butter which is the one I'm using daily. It smells so good!!! Maybe I will try using the unrefined shea butter on my ends.

Where are you all buying unrefined shea butter here in the states?

I usually buy unrefined shea butter at my local african market. Price is reasonable in my opinion. I never paid more than a couple of dollars for a big chunk of it. I then transfer it to a jar.

I love my shea butter! I buy it from a source Jade 21 (who has butt-length hair) recommended: Shea Butter. I bought African Natural™. It's great for my skin in the winter too!

I get mine from a trusted African vendor by my school. They tend to sell it in stores that sell African goods. That's if you'd rather not order it on line.

They literally scoop it out of the nut, wish looks to me something like a giant open acorn and then they put it in $5 and $10 tubs.

I recently tried WonderGro 100% SHEA BUTTER, I like it also, especially on my nape and edges. I really want to find a tub of it tho.

I've tried the shea butter in a jar and also wondergro's max shea butter mega moisture in the fine mist. I didn't care for either of them.

I liked the fine mist the first couple days. But then my hair started smelling really weird. Kind of like mayonnaise, but then this really weird factory smell

I couldn't take it anymore, so I washed my hair. You should have seen how dirty my hair was, and this was just after four days. I mean DIRTY, as though all the pollution in the city gathered on my shea buttered hair.

It's funny how we all have different results with the same type products.

it works wonders. talk about soft hair!

I'm sure we have some african shops around here. Maybe in north Miami. Oh and I'm lovin' the Natures Wild Child site.

I've used shea butter for a while on my skin...as I have sensitive skin in addition to eczema. Now I have to give it a try on my hair. It will be even more useful to me if my hair likes it.
