I have recently gone natural, for a few reasons, #1 being to help promote my hair to a healthy state. #2 give it a rest from heat appliances, #3 I've started an excersise regime and it just makes more sense to me to sweat out already curly hair, then flat ironed hair. AND of course I want to learn to love my natural hair as it is God given.

So newho, I went to Target today and was cruising through the hair product isle (Which by the way they have REALLY improved their african american hair product section...its huge now and has everything!!!). 2 (black) women at 2 different times walked into the isle, and I swear they looked at my hair and mumbled "Ooh eh eh" you know that dissagreeing tone women get sometimes? and another just laughed with her friend. Ok so I know I wasnt hearing this in my head, but black women have been giving me these ugly attidudle looks every since I went natural. What is up with that?

This is how I wore my hair today so if you feel the urge to go "Ooh eh eh" please let me know why, its not going to make me change my hair/style but Im curious as to why its so unaccepting to some, or even funny.....

I think your hair is absolutely beautiful and the ones laughing are haters wishing they could rock it like that. I love it. Keep on doing your thing.
 
I can't see any reason for them to be making any negative gestures in regards to your hair unless it is jealousy.

I think your hair is beautiful. Your curls are poppin.
 
Honestly, I can't stand people who are that close-minded about something so trivial. And we wonder why can't advance as a people.

I can only say that your hair is simply beautiful. I'm jealous. :yep: If I were you I would care less what they thought. They need to grow up.
 
Thanks ladies! no matter how many bad looks I get its not going to shy me away from going natural because my hair is SO happy right now and growing...finally and I have LHCF to thank for it, i get alot of curlspiration in here ;)
 
Lots of small minded people out there.. who knows and who cares..your hair looks great, don't let the smalls minds fool ya..

Maybe they're jealous...
Or maybe they were just laughing at something else and you just haven't gotten comfortable with your hair yet and you expect someone to say something off the wall or something ignorant about it...

IT IS BEAUTIFUL ...and Im sure relaxed and naturals could come to that conclusion!
 
They were just jealous that they don't have and can't rock beautiful healthy curls like you have. Ignore them!
 
I was expecting your hair to be like mine when it's uncombed! LOL. You know Wooly thick. 4B to the extreme! Your hair almost look like one of my protective styles and that's a good thing. Your curls are beautiful. Can't imagine why they would have that response. Sometimes you just have to ignore ppl.
 
Girl please!!!! Those chicks were jealous to the 3rd power. I'm sitting here wishing my hair could look like yours. Keep ya head up and keep on strollin'.
 
Honestly: its probably because you have what many would classify as "good" hair. Believe it or not, under all those pounds of weaves are transitioners(several of weavatrons have randomly asked me for tips.). Many of them expect to have cute coily curls and end up with my texture... a kinky mass of hair. So, why not make you feel like schittykins for have the hair they wish they could achieve.
 
Girl you coming to the wrong place to get an explanation for that ignorance. Your curls are popin and your head band is cute. Don't waist your time and energy on ignorance.
 
I can't see the pics, but I'm sure your hair is lovely.

Do you think that you are self conscious because natural hair is new to you? Are you sure they were laughing at you and not something between themselves?
 
Umm...seriously? Your hair is perfection, I doubt anyone was laughing at you. There's nothing funny/laugh-inducing about your head. I thought you were going to look like this ---> :hair::antlers:.
 
I hate that type of response to beautiful natural hair.

If I was in the isle with you and heard those responses I would be the woman that would say out loud to you. " I love your natural hair. Wish I could rock my natural locks. I am jealous!"

And from now on I am going to do that when I hear anyone making a negative remarks about any woman wearing her natural beautiful hair. For real!! :grin:

Reachbree...Your hair is so so pretty...Do not let people influence you...They were probably just jealous...You have a beautiful texture...Women can just be mean to each other thats all....Love the scarf by the way
