I don't consider my hair long yet, but two days ago I was with this guy I'm getting to know and he was like is that your hair? I was like yeah, and? he was like dang girl you just earned 20 cool points,(whatever that means
)I find long hair so damn sexy.
I do find when I where my hair down I get more attention as opposed to when I where it up and normally get next to none attention.

Well, my hair isn't as long as anyone here, but it is extremely thick. It is about collarbone length now. Anyways, I was at the Walmart and this guy thought that I was just too cute. He came right behind me and paid for all of my groceries. All of my stuff didn't come to about $15.00, but I gave him my last five b/c that was all the cash I had on me. I told him that I was married and he was like you are too young to be married at 23. He told me to come to his salon the next day for a free press and curl b/c he loves to run his finger thru thick hair. I never showed up but it was quite flattering. My hair is as thick as Diana Ross's hair, I just wish that it was that long.

I know for a fact that my hair is what attracted my husband to me when we first met. My hair was longer then than it is now but I was blow drying and hot curling all over the place then.

I get weird reactions from men all the time. I think I attract weird men all the time but here goes.
1. Once, I had my hair curled like a Veronica Lake style and straight, well I was sitting in my class room and some random guy out of no where LICKED my hair! Yes Licked my hair! I don't know if I was flattered or grossed out!
2. Once at work in a very corporate setting this guy that had been hitting on me said out loud, I mean really loud "Damn You got some good ass hair"! I was embarassed cause then everyone turned and looked and I got the evil stare from a sista!

I own my own business and when I have business meetings I make a very deliberate decision to wear my hair in a bun. I know the reaction I get from men when I wear my hair down and I don't want my business success to be about that!

I wore my hair down coming home from a business trip lately. Well I wore a suit home since my last meeting was that morning and since I knew i was going straight to the airport after the meeting, I wore my hair down. When I walked into the meeting, the men's mouths just fell open and one guy said "Wow". I kept getting a lot of stares during the meeting (and to tell you the truth it might have something to do with the top that I was wearing under the suit). I do not wear this top unless I have a jacket over it. I am somewhat busty (36D) and well this top drapes very close to my body. It's not tight or anything, but you know how some materials are so soft that they drape really well.
So after the meeting, one of the guys top me and ask me what I am doing for lunch. I told him that I was on my way to the airport. He got such a fallen look on his face and then he gave me his business card (yeah, like I am going to call him).
I went and grabbed a coffee and danish before leaving the hotel and headed for the airport. Well I am standing in line waiting to go through security and so I finish my coffee and through the cup in a recepticle near by. When it was my turn the women checked my ID and ticket. I then took off of shoes and put them in the tray with my purse and briefcase. I walk through the metal detector and it does go off. Here comes this guy. "Excuse me mam, he says." It turn out that my danish is dangerous. He says that since I came through the detector carrying a bag, I had to be searched. They took the danish and x-rayed it (Hey it could have been explosive). He then ran that little metal detector thing that they carry all along my body (not touching it of course). I was then instructed to take off my jacket. They sent the jacket through the x-ray. I am standing there with my airs outstretched to the sides while he once again runs the metal detector along my body (still not touching. I would have hit if he did.) I look up at this point and every man who is in that area (believe I looked around) had his eyes on me and had a smile on his face.
At this point I was hopping mad and sad that this was the stupidest thing I had ever seen.
First they say it is because I bought a bag through the xray area. It did not go off. They x rayed the bag (after I showed them it was a danish I might add). Then they had me take my jacket off which I feel was totally unnecessary. If it didn't cause the xray area to go off or the metal detector that the man skimmed along my body, why was it necessary for me to take it off to have it xrayed again.
Well once I got my jacket back on, along with my shoes and purse and got my briefcase. I left, with so many eyes following my path, that it was embarrassing. I heard a woman say "they act like they've never seem a woman before".
And get this, when I boarded the plane, I am going through the first class area to get to my seat and here's this guy seating in a seat in first class. He stares at me the whole while. As you know when you go through first class to standard, it is not a straight walk. You take a step, then wait, take a step then wait. The guy was very handsome I have to admit. And under different circumstances I would have been flattered. But after being put on display earlier, I was so not in the mood.
And behold, up ahead is a male flight attendant. He's spots me and gets this big smile on his face. I snarled at him. The poor guy probably thought I was a man hater. Well as I go past him, he tells me I have pretty hair. But then he spoils it by looking at my bust. So ladies, as far as attention from men, it is both hair and boobs.
Which I guess is quite natural I guess, seeing as most of them are boobs!

My husband said he feels kind of bad for some salesreps that companies hire. He said the vast majority are very attractive, and sometimes people call them back for a presentation, not because they are interested in the product/service, but because they want to look at them again. He said it isn't fair because it wastes their time.

My hair isn't really long but it is thick and looks reallg nice when I get my touchup.I had just come from getting a touchup and was wearing my hair open and was in a BSS looking at Keracare products.This lady comes standing next to me,watches my hair for a good minute(I was uncomfortable since she was kinda breathing on me),watches what I have in my hand and then picks up a bottle of Humecto and heads to the counter.
I don't know if she was intending to buy the Humecto all along and it was just a coincidence that I had one in my hand too,but I like to flatter myself and think it was cuz my hair looked good

Katie i had a similar experience. I picked up a bottle of Elasta QP Oil Moisturizer in the BSS almost a month ago and i swear y'all ..at first i thought i was seeing things, but the little korean lady behind the counter took out a camera and snapped my picture really quick while i was in front of the Elasta display. i was thinking she was taking a picture of damage in the store, but i didnt see any then i was like ,"hmmm... can she possibly be snapping my pic to show other customers that this is good stuff??"
She talked to me at the register like regular and was nice as usual but she never brought up the pic. Even though she's always friendly and gives me free samples and stuff i was too scared to ask her about the pic. it all just seemed too weird. But i like to think she's using it to push the Elasta QP line

I picked up a bottle of Elasta QP Oil Moisturizer in the BSS almost a month ago and i swear y'all ..at first i thought i was seeing things, but the little korean lady behind the counter took out a camera and snapped my picture really quick while i was in front of the Elasta display. i was thinking she was taking a picture of damage in the store, but i didnt see any then i was like ,"hmmm... can she possibly be snapping my pic to show other customers that this is good stuff??"
She talked to me at the register like regular and was nice as usual but she never brought up the pic. Even though she's always friendly and gives me free samples and stuff i was too scared to ask her about the pic. it all just seemed too weird. But i like to think she's using it to push the Elasta QP line

I wear my hair straight probably only 2-3 times a year. In public my husband runs his fingers through my hair. My male cousin told me that he wanted my autograph because I looked like a movie star. A co-worker asked if he could touch and smell my hair. One day I was in line at the market and I could hear the women in back of me talking about how pretty someone's hair was. I wanted to turn around and look so badly, but I didn't want to seem noisy. Then I got a tap on my shoulder, and I thought what a good exuse to turn around to see who has pretty hair. When I turned around the lady said, "I wanted to tell you that your hair is gorgeous", then she turned to her friend and said, "and that's all her real hair."

Lindy and LondonDiva, thanks I was cheesin and thinking, is my hair really that long. It's about mid-back but I don't think it's long. I know this sounds weird. It's almost like when you lose weight, you don't really see it but you know it's true because your clothes fit looser. Make sense?

I definitely know what you mean. Whereas years ago, I would have killed to have my hair as long as it is now, it just doesn't seem long to me now that I actually have it!!
It's weird but every now and then when I wear my hair straight and I catch a glimpse of it in the mirror I'll think, Wow, my hair really IS long!!

I totally feel you. I remember thinking years back I'll never EVER have long hair so I might as well fake it. Never saw any black women with long hair to think it was even remotely possible. Now my hair is long compared to what it used to be I still don't consider it long even though others do. I'm thinking will I be satisfied until I'm sitting on it??
Every time I gain some more length my standards of long become longer. Like at bra strap now, a year ago that would have been long for me. I think I won't be all and all calling my hair long until it's halfway between waist and bra strap. And then when I get there I won't be calling it long again until it's waist length.
