I have a wonderful relationship with my stepson, we're actually talking right now on FB. I've divorced his father and don't really speak to him any longer, but me and his son are still real cool. His mother was/is very mature so I've never had a problem.

All I can say is be consistent, be patient and CYA at all times!!
