Attention Ladies: A secret MTG user reveals her progress pics (inside)!!!

*If the photos don't come up they are in my progress album*

Sept. 21 (prior to using MTG)
I'm revealing my longtime breakage area
I have photos of my hair looking even worse than this, but I'm holding off to make a timeline of my breakage area's progress. ;)

I damaged it a couple of years ago from too much heat. After that my former stylist kept overlapping relaxer and trimming on the area waaay too much. :ohwell:

Anyway this is the day I got a relaxer and trim. The rest of my hair is past my shoulders so it covered it up. I didn't (and still don't) wear it down for longer than a couple of days because it ends up kind of see thru. :(

My "breakage area". Could the MTG be helping? :)
Here is my hair after I got it relaxed earlier today. I cut the right upper section of my hair prior to getting the relaxer so it would be almost even with the left side and so that the back area can catch up some. The left side already grows slower. :ohwell: Since I cut the right it's kind of hard to tell if the MTG affected the left side. I think it did though. :) The rest of my hair is still past my shoulders, but this time the back area being longer now doesn't make my hair as see thru!!!! :yay:

I think it could be the MTG helping me along. I used it from week 3-8 of my 10 week stretch. About two or three times a week. I mix it with Almond oil and rosemary oil to mask the smell. I actually only applied it to the back and the left side of my head because those areas grow slower than the right side area that you see up in the messy bun.

I wash and condition my hair every other week.
I've got another thing that I do that helps retain length in the fragile back section, but I'll be back later to explain it.

wow! that looks great! i hope mtg works like that for me. can't wait to hear the rest of the story.:)

OOh, you must be so hopeful and excited now. Hopeful for what the future holds for your hair and excited because the results are in and...., you are definitely seeing progress - no doubt about that. Keep it growing.......

shucks!! I can't see the pics either but I'll take your word for it!!!!!!! It's great to hear all the MTG success stories! I can't wait to hear the rest of your story.

Great progress CandiceC your nape has filled in very nicely. I have also been using MTG in that area only as I have the same problem.

Looking good
It's so nice to see progress photos from product users!

I can't wait to get back to using my MTG. I couldn't imagine using it with my braids, but I believe it definitely works.

I can't see your pics either - but I know MTG does work.

My back area is fragile, too, so I can't wait to here the rest of your story.

Thanks ladies for your comments!

Someone sent me a pm earlier asking me about the other thing I did to retain the length. I figured I'd post my response here too.

That back area is really fragile and I'll admit that it got worse before it got better. The problem kind of spread. That was because I left my former stylist (and her overlapping and trimming) and I decided to let that area grow in more before getting another relaxer. Well, I stretched my relaxer way too long and it would break off in the back at the demarcation line.

I wanted to keep my hair up in a bun because of it's "see thru"ness and to protect my ends, but I didn't want a lot stress in that area, especially right where I wear my ponytail. Starting back in June, I'd wait until about two weeks (actually maybe three) after my relaxer- then I would take some synthetic hair that I bought for some kinky twists and made small braids in middle of that back section. You couldn't really tell the braids were there because I always had a bun. It made the bun thicker too. :D It allowed me to stretch my relaxers longer without worrying about that back area being fragile and breaking at the demarcation line. When I would wash my hair I wasn't afraid to manipulate the hair there because of the braids.

This would only really work for folks that wear buns for long stretches of time. I couldn't imagine someone (other than family) actually seeing that I had those small braids back there.

I love it! I love it! I love it!! :D

Girl, that is wonderful! I am so happy for you! Such an inspiration! I'm glad you decided to come out of the closet and share with us.

Wonderful progress, congratulations! :) I think I need to bring out my MTG again. My back area and the sides of my hair are very fragile as well. I may start using MTG again on those areas only and see what happens.

Thanks for sharing your progress!

Thanks so much for posting your progress CandiceC. It's such and inspiration because the nape is my area of greatest concern.

I guess I'll be jumping on the MTG bandwagon in 2K6. :bud: Tally ho!

Keep hope alive!

Congrats CandiceC!
You are making belivers out of all the MTG nay-sayers. :bud: keep up the great progress!

:eek::eek:Wow C! I was expecting some significant growth but dang! I didn't expect that much! You must be thrilled. You look like a completely different person than from 10 weeks ago. Great progress.

"You don't have to show me no pictures to make a believer out of me; I know that stuff works!! "

Now that your "secret" is out, congrats on the progress. Can't wait to see the next 2 months!
