I also think while men look at hair first thats not where they stay looking ....hair 1 second stare....breast 30 second....butt 60 secs plus:lol:

Philip Kingsley We use hair to draw attention to ourselves, to express our personalities, to attract a mate. It is impossible to understand the importance of human scalp hair without appreciating its sexual role - there is a vital link between sexuality and hair. Hair is a secondary sexual characteristic. You obviously can’t flaunt your primary ones in public, but you can flaunt your hair.

I agree with the article :yep:

I wonder if this is why some religious groups such as : Islam have the women to keep their hair covered.

A guy just told me this today! He was mentioning all the things he liked about and kept stressing my long hair. I am only BSL but apparantly that was good enough for him. Lol

I agree. I have seen girls with 2 inches of fried cat fur on their head, great bodies, and dumb as a brick, but guess what they have a hot boyfriend.

I may have a different perspective on this being a lady of size, but I call BS on this. I've seen far too many women with hot bodies who are bald (Amber Rose, anyone?) have men fall all over them as opposed to the plainer, pudgy chick to the side with gorgeous hair to her knees. Men see women in the following order:

  1. Does she have a hot, bangable bod? Check.
  2. Is the face situation in order? Check.
  3. All the peripherals (hair, eyes, smile, voice) then come into play, in order of the individual dude's preferences.
All things being equal (i.e., numbers one and two are covered), I would agree that beautiful hair is a definite plus.

Just my opinion based on my experience; YMMV. :look:

Also, please note that this so-called "study" was commissioned by Pantene, so they may have had a stake in how the results turned out, don't you think? :ohwell:

i think men notice body or face first ( depending on which way you are turned when they spot you) and hair comes after all that as icing on the cake, provided that its complements your face. because i'm really tall (5'11)and my body type ( pear, medium build not overweight) creates more attention and my natural hair is an extra though men have told me it was pretty......its always some dress or outfit that i wear that seems to create some buzz or a double take.

I agree that hair is an attraction getter. Kim Kardashian isn't just attractive because of her assets.

I read somewhere that men have a primal instinct to notice movement. Long hair moving around looks feminine and gets attention. He might not be consciously aware of why; He just sees her as attractive.

Women know why though...there's a reason the Hair industry is booming. :yep:

southerncitygirl -ugh! (in a jokey way:lol:). You're so lucky!
IA that men notice body or face before hair. With me, it's boobs though(and legs). Depending on how tight the top I'm wearing is, or what angle I'm standing at -others see it too. I wish I had the waist definition though(!). I don't know how on earth I'm gonna be wearing dresses & suits to work (without looking like a ruler or slutty). I won't look right.

IA with the woman who said yeah they might notice it (hair) first for a second, then everything else gets 30+ seconds.

Sorry some of that was SO off topic lol.

Read this... do you agree?

◦74% of men indicated that they notice women because of their hair and 44% of men surveyed said that hair is the first thing they notice about a woman, more than her clothes (26%), legs (25%), or makeup (4%).
Most men surveyed would be more likely to approach a woman at a bar with great hair than a woman wearing a low-cut shirt.
◦82% of men indicated that sexy hair is a key element to a woman’s overall sex appeal.
60% of men surveyed say they would rather date a woman with great hair than a woman with big breasts.
◦And 78% of men surveyed consider healthy hair to be a turn-on.

Both bolded items are pure :grunt: ~searches for the C'mon Son gif~

I agree with this. I think people, in general, are attracted to hair. I get more comments and compliments on my hair than anything else, especially when my hair is in it's full glory lol (twisted out and B-I-G)!

Pantene needs to quit lying just to get women to buy their hair products. A man will notice a woman's body first and the hair last. Majority of men could care less what a woman's hair look like unless she's bald headed. I see too many women on the street with jacked up hair and weaves that have a man.
