I haven't committed 100% but am leaning toward the transitioning to natural route. Currently 35 weeks post.

My last relaxer was December 2012 and I transitioned for 2 years, so I have been natural for about 9 1/2 months.

Transitioning to natural for about a year.

I eventually would like to get sister locks. But I have to figure out a way to do it where I can bypass the whole "transition-weird look" phase. Now that I think about it, maybe by doing mini twists and allowing my hair to lock.

I am relaxed and have been since the beginning of time. But a friend introduced me to this board. I am forever grateful because I learned some good stuff on here. I learned how to take care of my relaxed hair. I started out on here with shoulder length hair (barely) that was prone to damage and dryness. I learned about co-washing on here, and coconut oil along with a host other really good hair conditioners and oils that I get from Birchbox that are wonderful. I co-wash daily and learning that from this board has saved my hair. I know a lot of people are really into the going back to natural thing, but I believe that you can have very healthy relaxed hair too and that's the camp that I'm in. Maybe one day I will do the natural thing, but I am firmly in the relaxed camp for now.

Transitioning from texlax to natural. 13 wks post. I went natural several years ago, my hair never got past neck length. But I'm learning that it may be an iron deficiency all these years:(

Texlaxed to be exact was natural a year in a half after being relaxed for 5 years. I have no desire to be natural again any time soon.

10 months natural...my one year naturalversary is 12/9!!!

wow at the amount of naturals in poll results. when the board 1st started it might have been the opposite. i natural btw.

Relaxed, but possibly accidentally transitioning to texlaxed (if that counts as a transition!). Have had two underprocessed relaxers in a row but quite like the additional texture!

Wow so naturals are now the majority here now... Hmmm sometimes I do consider going this route

Natural 10 years; 2 BCs and a head of sisterlocks for 6 of those years.

I have been transitioning since AUGUST 2013! It's been such a long journey. I have about 5 inches left to go in the front only..Almost there!
