April 24,25,26..what Are Your Weekend Hair Plans?

If I receive the honeyquat I ordered, I will be making and trying a soap nut shampoo recipe. Either way, I will finally be trying DevaCurl's Heaven In Hair w/my steamer and experimenting with rose water mixing. Aside from these new additions, it'll be the usual regimen for me: coconut/castor oil pre-poo, cleansing, deep conditioning, moisturizing, styling.

Oh...hopefully I'll start my written hair journal.

I'll finally be washing and blowing drying my hair. I've been so lazy and haven't done it in two weeks. I'll be doing the regular. Aussie Moist shampoo, Aussie Moist conditioner, greasing, blow drying, and bunning.

I'm gonna go to wholefoods to purchase knot today by kinky curly. I'm almost done with my bottle of one condition by deva curl and I'm honestly not in love with it. I like it but I would love it if it detangled my hair better. It's moisturizing , it clumps my curls, it makes my hair soft, but It doesn't do jack to my tangles. Kinky Curly is cheaper than this stuff so that's how I justify the price.

I just got back from the salon and I got a shampoo, deep condition, a cut and style for $75

I got the rest of my relaxed ends cut off it was about 7 inches. They used Phyto products which I'm not really a fan of but my hair came out looking good and healthy. I'll go back in two weeks to get a protein treatment then I'm done for a while going to the salon.

Try doing an oil soak for a day or two. That REALLY helped with both of my daughters when their hair was matted and tangled to high heaven. They didn't lose any more hair than they normally would have.

I just put a ton of coconut oil in it and was going to leave it for 4 or 5 hrs. Its was already very soft but I know its extra EXTRA tangled. is that what you mean by oil soak?

An oil soak is when you saturate your hair with oil, cover with a bag and leave it on for a day. After waking up the next day, put on even more oil, cover it back up and leave it on for another day.

When I did my daughter's hair though, I didn't leave it on for a full day on the second day. Just a few hours. Their hair was soooooooooo soft.

My hair motto has always been KISS as in keep it (the process) short and simple. It works for me Ive grown long hair TONS of times.
