Hey, ladybug!

I really, really like it.

It is not heavy to me. For comparison, it is MUCH less heavy to me than Qhemet Burdock Root Creme. I have not been into creams/cremes/butters on my hair journey so far, so I don't have a good base from which to judge, but I really like it.

Aside: Embarrassing newbie moment: First time, I didn't know how to handle it. It is solid, like actual butter you cut with a knife. I learned to scoop some with two fingers, rub it between my palms, apply to my hair section, then praying-hands-method it in or brush it in/through.

I used it last week for the second time. I did a flexirod set with it. Had my hair moisturized and shiny. (Pics of it are in the Hip / Tailbone 2017-2018 thread).

I have it now under CRN CurlMaker gel for a chunky twist out. I'll take a pic and inbox it to you once I untwist.

At about 3:30, you get a good look at the CRN style setter:

Here's a good review/demo comparing it to the CRN jai butter. It gives good insight into the PERFORMANCE of the style setter.

I used the Qhemet Burdock Creme before and it wasn't heavy on my hair so the style setter sounds good. How many days of moisture do you get?

Hmm. I used it to do the flexirod set on Monday, April 10th. I didn't put anything else on my hair until yesterday (Saturday, April 15th). So, hair still felt moisturized on Day 5. The root and length of my hair were quite moisturized still, and the ends were less moisturized though not dry feeling.

Method: I applied Curl Junkie Smoothing Lotion onto soaking wet hair, then applied the Camille Rose Naturals Style Setter on top of that using the praying hands method.

I'd say I had really good moisture with it, then. I have only had better moisture with Oyin Hair Dew alone on soaking wet hair and with Curl Junkie Smoothing Lotion on soaking wet hair with the Curl Prep gel over it. The Qhemet Burdock Root Creme might be close: It's hard to tell because of the different styling I had with the QBRC versus the CRN Style Setter. That Curl Prep Around the Way Gel!: My puff stayed ridiculously moisturized for over a week.

Please let me know how it goes with the masque, @vevster! I hope it's good for your hair, but if not, I'd take it back!

I'm under the dryer now. I think it did well as a layer between my hair and the shampoo. I can't leave conditioner in my hair too long, I sprayed my sections as I applied, detangling with my fingers.

I've been open to a conditioner before washing lately and this did a good job. I felt the Mielle deep I used after washing worked better than before.

Not sure the hi po mask did better than any other conditioner I would choose to put in before washing, but it was good for me! I will continue to pre poo with deeps now especially on shampoo days.
