Maybe I should pull out a Smoothing Conditioner or Smoothing Crème/Lotion.

I'd like to know what everybody used/is using?

@IDareT'sHair
I apply a leave in first
Air dry over night
Apply Paul Mitchell Super Skinny serum
Then the straightening comb

I make sure my hair is completely detangled first before I apply the brush

I think I'll use Coco Conscious Collective Smoothing DC'er and then use CJ Smoothing Conditioner as a final R/O and CJ Smoothing Lotion to start.

And maybe just Grapeseed or Argan the next day.

Do you always use an oil before straightening your hair? I think if you use a leave in with silicones to let your hair air dry, you could use the brush without adding any extra product. Afterward, you could apply a light oil if you wanted.

This way your hair would be smooth and detangled and protected before and after heat application.

Or that's what I would do if I bought the brush. :look:

Who got super kinky, coarse hair in here? Holla at me on your thoughts.

@divachyk

Holla!

And it's super dense. I'm extremely concerned because I don't do the best job at detangling. (I'm a lousy detangler)

That's why I'm hoping these "smoothing" products will help me out.

But hopefully, everything will go well. Imma give it my all.

I bought the revlon brush that's more akin to a blow dryer than a flat iron. This seems like something I could use after a roller set if I wanted sleek roots. It would probably be easier too. That blow dryer was still work.

Nah you know I don't like to "Push" products & stuff....*cough*:look: but come on Toaster get it before the price starts creeping up.

It goes up to 450 (not that we'd eva' use that much durn heat:pyro:)

It has a lot of great features...comes in Pink (although I got black) Pink was OOS where I got mine from.:ohwell:

*Raises hands* I did not use high heat when I used the brush so my hair just looked like a blow out. I think it's a great tool to use to stretch the hair. I'm not expecting the brush to work miracles on my hair, as long as it helps to stretch it to make it manageable then I'm happy.

Hmmm theres a ceramic model for $10 more :look: :look:
My hope is that this will replace my blow dryer. And if im real lucky my flat iron too. Not worried about super straight. Just straight enough to avoid ssk.

wait soooo its not ceramic? Isn't that supposed to be bad for your hair?
No clue. But from my lhcf readings ceramic is better. As long as it dont burn off my ends I dont really care what the material is . :lol:
Are you going to get it? When you trying it?
It arrives tomorrow. The ceramic one. next wash day is Sunday. Ill be back with a review then with pitchas. :up:

Mine is fine anorexic strands but its also a tightly packed 4c when dry. Normal to low density. I'll update the thread anyways. Someone who fits that profile might benefit.
This whole dang thread, just full of pushas! :nono2: :lol:

:lachen:
So is it in your shopping cart yet :giggle:? lhcf keep you broke!

Nice! Thats all the straightening i need! What products did you use? Thanks for the pics!

Applied a little CTDG and air dried over night in twist. Then applied PM Super skinny and brushed away... :-)

I actually get better results with this brush than I do with my blow outs I do. Better results meaning sleeker results.

Yall are making me want to jump for the FHI Stylus... :nervous2:
