Anyone experiencing this....

I was my hair with Aubrey's poo/cond, then use Giovanni Direct w/Aloe, then blowdry & curl. My hair looks like I stepped out of a salon - shiny, bouncy, silky. At night I pin wrap my hair or put in curlers & wrap the next morning. I add my oil mixture (castor,jojoba,rosemary) when needed. But the next day it doesn't look as good. Anyone else experiencing this?

I HATE THAT!! Luckily theres a solution

. In order to keep that lovely body and bounce salon look, this is all you have to do. First off be extra careful that you are not adding too much oil, I know for my hair a little goes a looooonnngg Way. Anyway, brush your hair into a real high ponytail (i.e. crown of head), then use a scrunchy to secure but only twist it once. For example you place your hair inside the scrunchy and then do one twist and thats it, this will avoid leaving a bend in your hair. Next take a roller, and rollup the remaining of the ponytail, secure w/ 2 bobbypins and tie down w/ a satin cap. I guarantee great results in the morn. Cuz see I know w/ my hair if I wrap it my hair comes out too flat (which I hate) and if I put rollers in the end it curls up too much, the method described above works greeaat..

Once in a while, mainly to dry the damp places that the hooded dryer didn't.

I will definitely try this. I hate sleeping in a lot of rollers, but this sounds comfortable. I can't put a lot of oil in my hair either because it will get too weighed down. I'll try this tonight and give an update tomorrow.

Did you use this method repeatedly? I used to do this every night when I was relaxed for about 6 months. It made the back of my hair break off. The part that is going up the highest into the high ponytail. I think it's b/c of the scrunchy. Once I realized that was causing my breakage, I stopped. Maybe a satin scrunchy would be the best suggestion. At the time, I didn't know any better and used a cotton one. Still, I'd be careful with this method.

It turned out okay. Not as much curl as I wanted, but not bad. I still prefer this over the wrap.

Here's another suggestion, take individual sections of your hair (think rollerset but without the intricate partings), roll it around your finger (imagine an invisible roller) and take a bobby pin (not a clip) and pin it. When your entire head is done, put on a satin bonnet (not scarf) and sleep. When you are ready to walk out the door, take the pins out and VOILA! curls (loose and bouncy) galore.

I tried that before and it does work as long as I have a fresh touchup.
