Am I the only one who doesnt like....

Ms. Martina! First, you are so beautiful! Second, your makeup is ON POINT. And third, your lacefronts look so real! I think you should bless LHCF with a tutorial on fixing up those hairlines!

There is a lady on my street :cry3: OMG her LF is SUCH a MESS. Like, seriously. I know I don't fool anybody with my little cheapo half wigs but at least I don't have glue caked on my face wrinkling every time I blink :nono: We need to hand out business cards with the link to Ms. Martina's tutorial! (unless we fear getting slapped :look: a distinct possibility)

Lmao  Aww bless her heart. Yeah.. give that woman a link to Ms. Martina's tutorial.

All of the ones that I've seen IRL look horrible!!!!! I've seen a handful on bhm that look really good, and realistic.

I like them...on me :look:

It all depends on how you wear them.. IRL and on the hairboards with the way some people wear them..its like they want people to know its a LF.. :ohwell:

My current work wig

No...you are not alone.

Every time I see a LF IRL, I think of Kenan Thompson on Saturday Night Live singing, "What's Up With That?" Hahahaaa!!!! It's hard to get it right. I don't like them very much on others...but that's only because I have not seen them done well.

Thanks again everyone for the compliments! Leesh I am probably going to do one in December or the end of November. I want to make sure I plan it well. I will let everyone know when it is up :)

LFs? Every one that I see looks like a LF. I can just see that its a wig. Its very easy to fool me with a wig and weave so if I can glance at a person and say " Thats a LF" it must be pretty wiggy or they just dont know how to wear it.

Am I the ONLY one?

I don't like them either. I have a friend that always has one on and I can't stop staring at her forehead cuz the LF looks so fake. I hate being so rude but I can't stop.

every lace front i have ever seen has looked like a lace front wig

any time someone posts "oh this is a good app" it still looks like a lace front wig

do that many women really think they have "baby hair" that needs to be brushed just so down their forehead and sideburns?

i wish this trend would end.

I started wearing them this summer to experiment with lighter colors without dying my real hair. I love them now! I don't glue or tape them down either. There is a way to make the hairline look realistic. You have to tweeze the hairs and mimic a natural hairline. Mine are always tweezed and I make baby hair. The hairlines end up looking like my own. The only thing I don't like is the inability to do a long center/side part. I also hate when the hair texture is too shiny looking. I never have that plastic looking hairline though. Although, when I see other people wearing them in person, they normally have baddddd hairlines. I want to pull them aside and tell them to tweeze it, but I don't want to be rude...

I will be doing a youtube video on how to fix lacefront hairlines soon though. At the end of the day it is fake hair, but you can make it look more realistic if you try.

Here are my favs! Reviews are on my youtube page(in siggy)...

Looks nice. Where did u buy the Lisa wig?

I can't stand them either, but thats because most women I've seen are wearing them pulled to their eyebrows and end up with planet of the apes hairlines.

Martina, omg I love you. I used to think that Lace Fronts were nasty and just ugly. Your youtube video is very professional. Shoot, I want a wig now. Wow! Thank you for changing my conception of wigs.

I may be in the minority, but I don't care if people can tell that I am wearing a wig. I want to look presentable, but I am not wearing it to try to fool anyone. I am just in an akward stage with my own hair and want to look pull toghether and professional for work, and since my natural hair is not long enough to wear a bun, and I can't keep my hair in braids all the time for fear of a receding hairline, than a wig is my best option....so, next time you see an obvious lf, it may just be that the person wearing it doesn't care if you can tell.

ok, how long does it take you to get ready in the morning? getting the LF on right and makeup right has got to be time consuming (your makeup game is on point). That may be my problem. I like to sleep until the last possible minute. :lachen:

Im the opposite.

I dont want anyone to know its a wid. I want to try to fool somebody even though women can almost ALWAYS pick out a wig.

ita with the bolded. wigs are a means to an end for me. i'm just trying to grow hair. hhj, hhg

I really don't like ANY wigs, extensions, weaves, etc. But the lace fronts I've seen on people have been :perplexed. At my class reunion, one of my classmates had on one with the perfect "unnatural" looking hairline, all I could do was stare at her hairline when she talked to me. I couldn't even focus on what she was saying. :spinning:

I don't have perfect hair, but I know it doesn't look as bad as some of the bad wigs/LF that I have seen.

I'm not a LF fan, but most look like a HAM. Very few people get them right cause most chicks don't want to put in the work to make them look believable. I have never seen a good LF in person, and the only good ones I've ever seen are the very few I see on the hair boards. (and even those I can tell are wigs)

I HATE lacefront's hairlines, BUT a lot of them come in very nice styles and textures. If I were to wear one I would cut the lace off like Wendy Williams and wear it behind my hairline and keep some my real hair out to cover it like a halfwig.

That's what I do w/ the curly ones.
