Aloe Vera Juice: Has Anyone Tried THis?

I went to Trader Joe's for the first time today(I'm in love with this store now!!!) in search of edamame, sigh unfortunately they were of the frozen kind, the shelled kind AND the unshelled kind :ohwell: Just my luck, and I didn't know beans were so popular because when I was asking one of the sales clerks if they had any, two other woman were asking for the same thing. Just how addictive are these beans???!!!

Anyway, I browsed around the store and came across a large jug of organic aloe vera juice. 'Wow this is something new' I said to myself. Another customer overheard me and told me that it was really good, so I picked up the jug and looked at the label. The instructions said to mix it into your favorite drink and enjoy. The price was $2.99 which I thought was pretty cheap considering how much they were giving you in the jug. Unfortunately, I didn't want to go over my spending budget and didn't buy it. So my question is to you ladies? Have you ever tried this, and is it beneficial to hair growth? I just want your opinion, but I'm still going to go tomorrow to buy it and try it out for myself.

Delp is correct. I drink 2-4 oz. of aloe vera juice daily. I've never considered it as a "hair thing" but it does do wonderful things for keeping the digestive tract in good health and promoting good bacteria in the gut. I think it's also had positive effects on my skin.

I tried it. I didn't notice anything as far as my hair or skin. It was very bitter to me as well. I got through a gallon jug and didn't repurchase.

I use the Aloe vera gel, mixed with cocnut milk and some wheat germ oil or some neem oil. It is said that it not only conditions the hair it also gives good growing results. I use to drink it when I was younger it is very good for the body especially the skin. HTH

I used to drink this a lot last year and then I stopped. I just started getting into the routine of drinking it last week. I mix it with my water. It is an excellent cleanser as mentioned previously and that's why I drink it. I didn't really notice anything with hair growth but then again, when I was drinking it last year I wasn't really into the hair growth thing so I wouldn't have noticed. I'll pay more attention now to see if there is a significant difference.

I started taking it again last week. My intent is to take two to four ounces a day. I can't wait until the Trader Joe's about eight blocks from my house opens. The sign has been up for months and the construction is ongoing...I just can't wait for it to open...That is a great price for jug of aloe vera juice.

Thanks everyone for your opinions. I'm going to buy some today, I definately know that it will improve my skin and remove blemishes. :)

I was thinking about doing this. How does it taste when you mix it with water?\

LOL

When I was doing research on Aloe Vera juice, I came across this, and a comment with a lady saying that she uses it as a shampoo recipe. I wonder if she is a member of LHCF?
