OHHHHH THAT IS WONDERFUL!!!! BEAUTIFUL....BEAUTIFUL...BEAUTIFUL!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I just know that you are sooooo happy!!!! I now have hope.....I am sort of new to doing my hair, I just started doing it myself in Feb when I had my last trim. I got really angry @ my stylist because he kept trying to force me to relax. I am 14 months into my second time trying to transition and you have really given me hope to continue. I quit the last time because I could not find anyone that wanted to deal with my thick hair. I am not one to wear the weaves, braids, etc., and this month, I have been bunning but have no clue as to what I am doing.:wallbash: I just today did a rod set because I thought that maybe the bun was going to break my hair off because after I wash, I detangle and comb it back into a bun. Is this how you would wear your bun? Sorry for the long post but after reading your title, I got excited and have a new look at going through......again...your hair is really beautiful!!!!!!

lol no problem. i love to help whenever i can. the way i did my buns varied. at the beginning i used to bun it straight out of the shower. then i switched for some months to setting it in 2 braids overnight and bunning on the dryer hair in the morning. this was just for a break/change. but i like the way my damp/wet buns look better. so now i am back to that kind of bun.

i simply cowash, moisturize and seal (keeping the hair damp/wet. i keep a spray bottle around to keep it from drying). then i pull it back and bun. i smooth some gel onto the front (eco styler olive gel is the best thing since sliced bread), and tie it down with a satin scarf overnight. take it off in the morning and go!

buns got me through 2+ years. it got boring at times, but i retained ALL of my growth so it was worth it

I'm looking at your pics and I'm thinking that we have similar hair texture (I'm almost a year into my transition)

My hair has the loose curls in the back and the hair in the front doens't seem to know what the heck is going on with it, lol.

I'm planning a 2 year transition through bunning myself, so thank you for showing your pics!

I, too, was a long time transitioner (about 2 years)...So, I feel you in ALL of your excitement!!! Your hair is fabulous...welcome to the Natural Side and the beginning of a whole new journey!!!
