African textured wigs/lacefronts way more expensive...

I haven't worn a wig in maybe 3 or 4 years and i've never worn a LF, so i'm not too familiar at all. But i was just curious after all of the LF posts and decided to take a look on ebay and the other websites offering customized wigs/lace fronts. I have noticed that the Afro textured wigs are way more expensive than the other textures. (Like $100 more). I saw a kinky 4B afro, kinky (not a uniform coil in sight) and it was one of the most expensive! Then the 4A texture, poof/soft with a few uniform coils that was expensive as well... I must admit that i was shocked. I think black women always assume that white people think our hair texture is ugly or is less desireable than theirs. But maybe they think our texture is beautiful and exotic...or what other reason would our hair texture be more expensive than theirs???

I think it is more expensive because it is harder to make...more processing/manufacturing time.

And they probably aren't selling as many. A shiny straight one can be sold to anyone.
